I hope not, a map like this would be great as infantry combat only (maybe a Humvee or two for Marines to drive around)jayceon515 wrote:This has been really bugging me since the media update was posted. So my simple question is: Are there going to be cobras on Muttrah city v2?
I just can't wait for 0.7 I'm really looking forward to this map![]()

Awesome!!! Muttrah City and Mao Valley were my favorite maps. I'm glad to see that at least one will be coming back. As an experienced PR pilot, I would like to say the following things that I saw in Muttrah V.1 and what I would like to see in Muttrah V.2
1) Part of the beauty of Muttrah was the excellent opportunity it gave to members of the US team to work together to have a successful aerial assault. It worked well with one problem: too much AA made it impossible to land troops.
2) AA should be limited to one or two on the map, or only be permitted to be placed by the commanders
3) AT rockets should not be as fast as they were. I once saw an entire chopper group (the Blackhawk and 2 littlebirds) go down in about 5 seconds because the MEC AT rockets had little drop and could hit the choppers even when they were being flown full speed over the water, well away from the land.
4)There should be grappling hooks, stairs, and ladders to make access to roof tops easier. This vertical element made the game challenging before, and I think that more of it would make for some excellent play on both sides. This would force the US to drop counter snipers on roof tops, while giving the MEC some good positions to fire from.
5) Limit attack choppers. I think that armed choppers should be limited to the blackhawks and the littlebirds. Adding in the AH-1 or AH-64 could result in an unbalanced map. The only way to counter this would be with AA, and this would make the map hell for transport choppers.
Keep up the good work PR!!! You guys have a great game going here. I actually spend more time playing PR than I do on Vanilla BF2.

I know it gets said every release but 0.7 looks like its going to be absolutely amazing.

0.7 patch
Looks awsome guys, keep up the good work.
What I want to know though is will we be able to download a patch to update 0.61 to 0.7 instead of downloading the massive (I belive it's going to be massive) file all over again?

Downloading a big file isnt such a problem if its via torrents.., that way you get to recheck hash fails etc. I'd prefer a large download and a fresh reinstall of a new version to a patch anyday.Freelance_Commando wrote:Looks awsome guys, keep up the good work.

looking good!
i just upgraded my rig in anticipation of .7 (and to get better performance on a few .61 maps). i dropped two more gigs of RAM in (giving me 4 total) and put in a second geforce 7600GT. with those changes, i am running PR with high settings with no slowdown (not to mention call of duty 4 and unreal tournament 3 in high).
guys...if you're thinking about getting more RAM or a second video card, do it now! the performance increase was huge.

US Army will have M4's not M4A1's, so their effective range should be longerMorgan wrote:Okay now im gonna need a new keyboard from the drooling. Good job devs can't wait for the Challenger!! Also will the US Army M4 have assault rifle characteristics or will you leave it as a carbine so it is nigh on impossible to kill people long range with it?

Release date
Do we have any vague ideas on when the 0.7 patch might be relased? 2008ish?
