Last night on Al Burj

Post by =NAA=Spaztik_Ferret »

Ive been away from PR for a while. Got caught up in Eve online. Great game, but I need a break so i'm back to PR off and on.

Last night we were playing on the Matrix server (.)(.), and endured a grueling one and a half hour game of Jabal Al Burj.

I led a fine squad of guys (sorry I forget names) in defense of the bridge outpost. The Americans attacked and counterattacked relentlessly with APC's, annoying Blackhawks, snipers, marksman, and standard infantry squads. They managed to take it once, but we quickly resecured it and held off thier infantry squad and located the rally points.

The turning point occured late in the game when they were exhausted of APC's, they attempted to helo drop troops in and around us and set up rally points. Once our other two squads secured the Dam outpost we made our way to East beach and settled in for the remainder of the fight, repelling one more frontal APC assault and two more squads of helo troops on out northern and eastern flank.

For all that were present I give thanks for a hard fought game, it's times like those when I understand how great of a game this is.

If it was the same map I was on, I left like 2 minutes in, because I was so pissed off at the way MEC was wasting the APCs at the start.

MEC should always always always (imo!) send at least 1 APC to the west beach to destroy any chopper that lands there, and to repel enemy apc's as well. You take a squad with an APC, engy, ammo guy, and HAT to west beach and defend it as long as you can while the rest of the team caps the back flags.

My favorite map by far. I've had some of the best gaming moments ever on that map.

Can somebody tell me where the tower is? Hmm? Where is it? You can't call a map "The tower" and not have a tower! And the damn does not count.
