What was your first map?

Post by Falkun »

Thought this would make an interesting thread.

My first map was Ejod, I think. Briefly read through the manual, so I sorta knew what to do, but for the most part, not. I was on the US side, and had chosen the medic kit. Having forgotten that medics had to sit there and heal people, I was trying to throw down my med packs

Operation Greasy Mullet, being a Medic/Pilot/Light AT/Crewman and various other stuff

But the actual first PR map was Strike at Karkand 2, since I had 0.4, but never played it online.

I think it was that bugged night map from way back, the one with the river and the attack choppers.

Maybe not my first first map, but one of the first I played on, knew more or less how to play due to reading the manual and forums beforehand, was Kashan. I remember having to walk from US main to the bunkers just to get killed by a tank, seriously, I had to walk all the way :-? . It seemed so much bigger then. Afterwards, getting a littlebird, only to get shot down in a second by a mig. Was interesting. :)

I think my first was EJOD in 0.6 open beta (or was it in 0.5 ?).

I had no orientation there and was getting wasted all the time. You can't imagine how happy I was, when I killed my first 2 guys at Ruin :-D

Muttrah city .4

I remember getting really pissed off at being shot and being killed from miles away in just a few shots, and then having a 30+ second spawn time.

I didn't try playing again for a few week after that, but when i did, i got on a server playing karkand, where i was in a good teamwork squad, and i began to love it
