It would be nice to see some of these items listed below, in game!
--- Mk 56 mine dispenser (ESSS only)
--- RAK 052 Oerlikon/SURA 81 mm rocket installation
--- Quad HOT / HOT 2 launcher
--- Quad TOW launcher
--- GECAL 50 0.5 in HMG on pintle mount
--- SUU-25 flare launcher
--- FN ETNA HMP/MRL 70 (combined 0.5 in M3P gun and four 70 mm rockets)

SH-60B Has a dipper in the sabin as well as a drop point on the starbord side.
There is only room for two aircrew seats, and one troop seat. It has two extended fuel cells inside.
SH60F has a removable sonar dipper, allowing for troop transport of up to 3 troop seats, and two aircrew seats (ASO TSO)
HH60H Seal Transport, has three troop seats, and two aircrew chairs, but generally, everyone sits on the floor to maximize room, as well as to not get the fastrope tangled up on deployment.
Had FLIR (Forward looking infrared) as of 1999, as well as hellfire missiles from the sides.
All of these aircraft support ONE (1) 60mm Machine gun mount on each side of the cabin. One on the cabin door, and the other on the cabin window.
Those are the Navy boats.
I'm modelling one right now, and I worked on, and flew in them for several years during standard and special ops.
I was privileged to work on the Sea Stallions, and the AH-60's during joint ops with the Marines, Armies, and Airforces, of 7 different countries.
For differing modelling purposes though, the hellfire mounts on all of these Sikorsky aircraft can be replaced with fuel cells, camera pods, or torpedoes. The canon plugs are all the same. The Ordinance teamse and the Aviation Technicians route the plugs to the proper firing panels.
The 53E is my next modelling project. I'm trying to keep them low poly, yet accurate.

key words being 'near future', and the 'futuristic' gear been added into BF2 is all real equipment that is at least in prototype stages, if not already at production stages. None of it is **** ppl have just made up.The 13th Raptor wrote:Any "its not realistic" arguments can be countered however with the fact bf2 is happening in the near future, designs can be altered, modified.

But i should also point out that even if a weapon mounted on a vehicle can possibly damage the vehicle itself if used wrongly doesnt mean those weapons are not mounted in such a way, unfortunately the only thing i can think of is the b17 with the obivious risk the top gunner can hit the tail. But i doubt that happened much, most militairy personel is trained

Lets just pretend the M123s were attached and the marines were short on men and time so they just attatched the rocketpods to save time and flew off![R-DEV wrote:Black Beret]When the ESSS is attached, M134s aren't mounted in the windows or doorways of the helo.
No really, what are we arguing about? Its a dice game, stating there are realism issues is like saying sand does not make for a good breakfast.

this is how dice thinks: people want a cool black hawk.
okay
lets give it miniguns!
good idea dave
hmm
oh
lets give it rockets too!
i like that bob
and we can have people fire out of the sid w/o their seatbelts on, so that if the helicopter does something where any real person would fall out, they stay magically attached to it!
i like that idea alos, great work!
look, im serious, that is exactly what they did, it isnt even meant to have a realistic armament
