[List] Scariest PR Moments

Post by Rico11b »

the scariest PR moments thread? If so I'm sorry for starting a new one :)

This happened in .6 a few weeks ago.

Was running down the alley way on EJOD, and one of my squad mates jumped out in front of me and starting firing past me. I had the volumed turned WAY up and he scared me so bad that I jumped right up out of my seat and ran out of the computer room. It's funny now, but it sure the hell wasn't when it happened. My wife was watching TV and she jumped and screamed (I did too) when I darted in the living room trying to escape. After what seemed like several moments I came back and my guy was still standing in the same spot that I had left him, and someone was asking if I was AFK :)

I don't think I even told them what had happened. Stuff like that happens more than I care to say though ;)

Back in .5, I had 3 different strings of tracers and 2 RPG smoke trails flying past my A10 Cockpit.

In .613 my Merlin had lieterally 20 RPGs whiz by it in the period of 10 seconds.

sprinting to enemy challengers with the engy kit about to plant some C4. I stand under prone, and wait the delay time. Sometimes people would go to the front, or the tank back up exposing me, the risks.

some scary things though not as bad as running out since i got headphones would probally pull me back to the seat, usually when sniper and a guy comes up to knife you.

I didn't realize it right off but on Hills Of Hamayong once, my US squad was advancing up the hill toward radio dugout. We puffed smoke and 3 MGs started spraying fire through it hoping to hit any of us. We all charged up to a little shack or something and returned fire. By the time we managed the top of the hill through all the grenades and MG fire my heart was beating so bad I had to take a break.

I recommend headphones, for the record. That way you can just toss them across the room instead of moving yourself. Oh, and if you're going to do that, buy in bulk.

Once I stubled upon 2 abrams south of the Kashan bunkers, I Had to hid next to the tracks on one and try and keep pace when it moved, then it moved too far and I ran to the other tank.
I frapsed it but having edited it yet.

The scariest moments are always when.

A. Your transport pilot is a noob, swerving and spinning madly until finally crashing.
B. Your transport pilot just disconnected... AHHHHHHHHH!
C. Some noob pilot is attempting to pick some guys up for extract, but he kills the squad and himself in the process.

Scariest moment was when Rico11b dropped to a knee and TK'd our squad leader, then shifted his sights towards me...

I agree with the helicopter thing it is extremely annoying when the guy leaves because death is imminent. Even worse being on Basrah and the copper pilot is killed by Rpg and you just spin to the ground.

Was in a little bird and had the HAT trying to take out an enemy tank. It was me, The Sl and another guy piloting. As soon as we were hovering jsut above the tank, a sniper shot our pilot down, and the LB began going down( we were at above 200ft i think, it was really high). I was watching the ground coming closer and closer while the LB was spinning around. I was scared, and i kind of screamed in voip.
