A pilots story withe the A10 on Kashan

Post by s3v3ndust »

I've been actively practicing my flying skills with the practice map uploaded on the general forums and I finally got to put what I've learned to work.

I've never really been a big air guy, even with bf2v, although I was an excellent chopper pilot. But its so fun to fly the A10 around the big map and swoop down from a high altitude for air support.

So here's the story, my team was basically all nubs just running around with pilot & crewman kits for the entire round. Mec have achieved to capture all of our flags but two, after a couple massacres at village by their tanks, I spawned back at the air base and waited patiently for the A10 to get payback and that I did.

My team finally came together in the late stages of the round and was calling in close air support left and right. Mec was feeding me tanks/troops/apc's and I was tearing them to shreds with my massive gun that growls when you shoot it. Don't you love that noise? My squad mates were telling me how cool it looked from the ground. It really brought back the fun for PC gaming to me, I haven't achieved that sort of entertainment in a while. Although I do love this mod, I haven't had that much fun in awhile.

I destroyed 5 tanks and 3 apc's could have been more not sure. But as my team came together at the last minute and recaptured several flags, they couldn't sustain the ticket bleed already lost.

Moral of the story is, the A10 is a powerful weapon in this game and if flown right, it will win you the round.

The A10 is a very powerful tool, but ultimately you need groundpounders to sort out the flag situation. If you're around, I'll be sure to be calling on you for air support.

What server was that on?

I had an awesome round a couple of nights ago in the frogfoot. staying above the clouds, getting reports of armour and swooping down, flares away pounding them. Was great fun. Lots of GPS bomb requests by commander as well in fact. Stayed in the air for ages, the only reason I died, was because my plane decided to practice gymnastics on the edge of the runway. :(

Stukas in the air were morale boost for german infantry during ww2, and now A10 stands morale boost for US inf.

My "glorious" moment with A10 was not a score buster, but i was able to supress enemy troops with it and rally our groundtroops to hurl forward. Too bad that the enemy Flanker pilot got me from the air while i was blindly enjoying the flight, my teammates were yelling for me: "hey a10 pilot, watch your tail!!!" but i saw those chat messages after my plane blew to thousand pieces :´(

I haven't gotten any air time since this original post, the nubs have been taking my precious warthog. I've been giving the A10/FF pilots hell with the AA, the shoe on the other foot feels rather nice.

btw, I think this was the WTF kashan server
