Commander's Dictionary

Hill Raiding - The pointless and futile act by a SL of taking a squad into the hills at the map edge so that you can feel like a 1337 tactician when in fact you're not and you're wasting valuable time messing around in an inconsequential part of the map. No matter how many times you repeat the words 'stealth' and 'flank' or a variation of them in a sentence it's still lame and pointless. Stop it.

This is how at least 75% of rounds are going down. This image was made because of people bleeting at chess references. A wake up call to all players really how we see their actions in game. Only by being faced with the truth will certain people learn.

Commander's Dictionary

Nongineering - Constantly requesting build orders without actually building anything, being in possession of a Supply Truck, or being in an invalid location. Apply manual or kill self.

Ungineering - Standing idly by while an asset bleeds out because to you, selecting and using the shovel is up there with rocket science.

-Well, things have been looking up lately; I've had more good commander experiences than bad ones since 0.75, more games with commanders(Though it's still under 50%) and more teamwork in general.

EDIT: Still not many people wanting to defend flags either.

-You need to yell at people more. There's nothing like the wrath of a Commander scorned... I usually build a bunkner on the flag with a supporting firebase close by(It's a gamble betting everything on a single spawn point) and constantly remind SLs to place their rallies(It's like they think RPs are inconsequential when Bunkers/Firebases are up). If someone talks too much I tell them to STFU and build order spamming usually results in a lot of yelling, followed by rampant teamkilling(Executing traitors ;) by me if the yelling did not work.

To ease the job of commanders, I sometimes start up a 'Comm Help (Peon sometimes)' squad, devoted exclusively to helping the commander. :)

Last night, on Al Basrah, M.Warren was commanding on British team, and he was getting very little help from his 31 other men, many of them doing zilch at Airport. A TG member helped build the comm's bunker in VCP, so I spawned in and digged in with my shovel.

From there, I retrieved some abandoned Land Rovers, repaired the bridge from Airport to VCP, and defended the forward base. It was a pleasure working for a skilled commander.

Might not be the right place to ask but is there a way 4 commander to talk to one squad at a time with VOIP?

Hit capslock then select the squad by clicking them, then use the squad chat button (default 'B')
