Fantastic update guys!
My goodness you folks have done it again. Just continues to get better and better with every release. One concern I do have is the new hazey view that you get when under fire. I feel it needs a little tweaking(I think its a great addition though) before it is really complete. When I was playing on Mezita or something I was in one of the forts and we were taking fire but the fire my team was taking was only striking the top of the bunker we were in and I was on the bottom floor. I was no where near the gunfire but I was still getting that haze and I just thought that once you guys got back into development those things would be worked out. Also I feel that the haze is really heavy at times and I think it could be reduced a bit but great new feature thing its going to come together in upcoming patches.
All in all great addition to the series and can't wait to see more of your work.

+1. Rifleman Iron Sights is absolutely uninteresting class now. It is no point to have Rifleman 2 classes. To make balance better, the Rifleman Iron Sights should be replaced on with the Grenadier (from Limited Kits). In comparison with others, grenadier is not often required class, it is not a strong class. The moving of grenadier to the "Spawn Kits" shall make balance better and solve a problem with the Rifleman Iron Sights. Grenades will be something massively extra.TheScot666 wrote:Great new patch, only a few complaints.
2.Make the Rifelman without Opticals have something massively extra, cos atm i dont see why anyone would go without opticals as you can resupply yourself anyway!! (btw dont take ammo bag from optical though, love that )
PS. "suppressing" effects is good idea, but they need to be made little bit more poorly
PSS. Excuse for my bad English

I think there is something in the core version causing the shortcut problem. I updated my machine using the patch and everything works fine. I have tried installing using the core version on a couple of machines and it states the shortcut problem each time.
Even when the shortcut path is exactly as quoted in earlier threads. Could it be a vista thing?
Gonna uninstall reinstally .7 and try using the patch to see if that works.

I think there is a problem with vista where you need to be a admin on vista PCs to run it.chudley wrote:I think there is something in the core version causing the shortcut problem. Yo Rhino I have it running in elevated mode with admin rights, also even when clicking on the direct exe in the mods folder it then says BF2.exe does not exist.
Have you got a link to the 0.708 files anywhere mine are on my machine in Bovington and not here in Norlfolk! (where there is loads of snow atm). I could go and nick them off amate who I made a dvd for a while back if need be but it would be quicker to download them from here.
Just double checked and the admin check box in compatablity tab wasn't checked - so it is now checked and seems to be working fine on vista.
Cheers mate
ps what you doing up so early - or have you not been to bed yet?

Dunno what you did but I haven't disconnected once since the patch so I can stay in long enough to learn something.
I think the helicopters are harder to fly now though :-/ I don't seem to be able to gain altitude as easily and they generally go all over the place. Other people can fly/land them on a sixpence, though.... So maybe its just me.
Big big thank you!

Maybe u should stick to bfvietnam if u love hueys that much.Last time i've checked this mod claimed to be realistic not historic.I really find it realistic to see Hueys in 2009 bringing troops back and forth.THe most realistic thing i've ever experiencedViper20591 wrote:I absolutely love it! I love that they added the UH-N1 Huey! Go Marines!
I also suugest that Devs should switch a-10 with p-47 in kashan, m16 with m1-grand while keeping HATs and AAs and C4s.

Good Job guys, really well done.
I only downloaded about 3-4 days ago and that was the first ever time I've played PR. To say I'm extremely impressed would be an understatement. Apart from lag on Jungle maps I am extremely happy and consider it well worth the wait . Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou to the developers and people who have contributed. It is one of the finer games I have ever played.
Cheers

Number of Hueys operational in US army=62[R-PUB]bosco wrote:Hueys are still used by the USMC.
Number of Blackhawks built=2600(say few hundred use in other countries + few hundred crashed+shot down+lost) so we can assume around 2000 operational in US army navy and airforce
I also know that US army has also 3-4 mi-24 minds operational maybe they also should add these to USMC arsenal in PR since "they are still used by Army"
I am also sure that they have lots of p-38s p-51s p39-s and p-47s which are still able to fly so we can also consider these as "operational".So my suggestion still stands...
