The Battle for Qinling (21.02.08 on RIP)

Post by Tartantyco »

-Just had the most awesome comeback game as the Chinese on The Battle for Qinling on the Rusty In Places server(At around 01:00 GMT+1).

-When I joined we had Main/FOB and were fighting over at Village, where I got a Firebase down. I applied for Commander and after playing a while we started getting pushed back, having taken Village for a short while we were now under attack at our main. We eventually managed to push out again and recapture FOB, only to lose it again. For fear of another attack on our main we pushed out hard and reclaimed the FOB while Squad 5 attacked Village.
-After this the main battlefield became Village and for a long time it became a stale-mate, until our armor managed to break through up to Coal Mine. We capped it but were pushed back before we could get a Bunker up. Due to our tanks positioned south of Coal Mine, however, we managed to keep the enemy at bay and eventually move in again and re-cap the flag. I got a bunker built at Coal Mine before the enemy counter-attack, one that was fended off by only myself, S4's SL and one more. Together we foiled a 20-man counter attack(Not all at once, of course) and managed to re-cap the flag that had been neutralized.
-Before this event we had been trailing the UK forces by around 100 tickets, now we had 29 left while they had 56. Our attack on Farm was not successful and I was sure we'd lose if we did not capture it. However, as the tickets dwindled down it became more and more obvious that we might just be able to win the day. The final ticket count was 4-0. From barely being able to hold on to our bases and trailing by over 100 tickets throughout most of the game we finally managed to turn the game around during the last few minutes. Thank you squads 3 and 5 for holding Village, thank you squads 2 and 4 for the push on Coal Mine/Farm, thank you Squad 6 for supporting the troops on the ground, and thank you Squad 8 for being everywhere. Oh, and I'm an awesome commander! :D

Your Norwegian signatures policy seems to derail threads, KP
