Sunset City - China pub strat
Since 0.7 is out in not all that long, I figure I'll blow my Sunset City pub strat here and see if it's fun writing this kind of thing.
Map starts, get your 6 man squad, tell them on voip to spawn on Parking Lot (river side, whatever it's called) Put an attack marker on Office tell them we'll be attacking office. Then before the round starts if possible, put a Move marker at the first RP position which is by a rock just west of Office.
Tell them to run straight to office, cap it and THEN to go to that move marker.
Cap office, move to move marker, set RP. Tell guys to pickup Light AT's to deal with APCs.
Move up onto the hill area, snipe/shoot/take care of the enemies at Temple. At this point you might get mired into having to kill enemy APC's for a bit, but otherwise smoke smoke smoke, and rush into temple finishing anyone off.
Then defend temple.
Call down a supply box behind the temple so you can get a HAT, have a rifleman follow your HAT around. Dominate any APC that comes near.
If another squad caps Lower City, then great. If another squad is helping defend Temple, then I leave my squad to defend Temple and I take a jeep (which always seems to be lying around by the temple) or go on foot, or spawn back, and do a loop around to where the Market is. When my dead squad members spawn on me, set a rally somewhere near market. Attack Lower City.
When we have Temple and Lower City, defend the flag that we're at. If its Lower City, put a destroy marker on the bridge and take that out.
Now we have both Temple and Lower City. I leave my squad to keep defending whichever flag it is we're defending. Then I get a jeep (usually when I die and spawn at the main). I race along the east road, usually right past a bit of enemy fire near the US river, and i turn right along the river, and drive over the mountains at their shallowest point and through the back valley towards the enemy main. When my squad members die from defending, they spawn on me, we set a rally and then go in and attack the US main. Sometimes I call down a supply box around here. We destroy vehicles and assets and get into the radius to cap out the enemy.
The key is to get on the US main radius before the enemy greys temple or lower city (if they even grey it). Then even if US caps temple and Lower City (never seen them cap BOTH though in that situation) my squad defends the US main. When the US come back to attack it, other guys go and cap temple/lower city. Then they don't have a spawn and we just pick them all off.

I remember doing this strategy with striketeam, only thing we did differently is let the blue guys cap office as we moved to the rocks..
One guy had HAT and I was the designated rifleman, we took on some infantry/an APC and defended temple as the rest of the team got lower city..
Then a squad flanked around USMC main and capped it ( Kudos to spacecadetts squad

I usualy cap office, then set up RP on construction site. From those unfinished buildings you can shoot many enemies trying to cap Temple. Both flags (Temple and L.City) are not far, so I can choose what to do next, depending on what the blue bots.. errr I ment dots are doing.
In 0.5, I spent most of the time fighting for that hill south from the Temple, only to find out later that hill is not important. Almost every time when I have my squad caping the flag at Temple, there are couple of enemy squads there (south hill), yet we have the flag most of the time.

Well last night I tried to use this strategy. My squad dragged their heals WAY too much on taking out the enemy APC at temple with LATs. It was really frustrating.. I mean, it's a simple matter to grab the LAT, walk up, kill the APC.
Also, the USMC had constructed a bunker to the left of the staircase of the temple, and i mean, they constructed it FAST, before we even got there. This was a great counter - although if my squad was more skilled, we would have easily slammed it (instead i watched as a couple of my guys stood around the bunker asking me what to do lol and then USMC guys spawned and killed them)
But, interestingly, a hole (i guess) in this strategy is, if the USMC at temple manage to slow you down killing them and taking temple back, AND if the rest of the PLA team is morons who aren't doing anything useful, then the USMC can sweep the map while your team is held up at Temple.
It isn't really a hole in THIS squad strategy, it's just that you can't have a team where only 1 squad is doing this, and the other squads aren't taking care of the other stuff.
In the case where the other squads suck horribly, it would actually be wiser to set up a defense at Office, and wait for the USMC to come there, then you kill a bunch of them and THEN you go to temple. I guess...

A counter is for the US to get people down to the Offices asap before the PLA get the chance to put down rallies near the offices. Keep the PLA on the back foot using the APC from a distance, using Hummers to get troops up there fast. Cap the Temple using the bare minimum of troops to take it quickly (4-5) and keep everyone else moved up forward. It turns the map into a bit of a zerg rush, but it's the only way to really effectively keep the PLA pinned back against that bridge. Once they're properly into the city, the PLA have the space to move around and cause problems for the US - they need to be kept fighting for the offices and riverbank.

Yep the map is still biased to PLA some
A strategy for a pla win is a bit like running down a hill, the other way round would be more impressive tbh
Its all about the foothold, its easy to beat a man climbing a cliff face while standing on his fingers but if he should get to the top or even behind you then your in trouble![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Nice strat. Keep those comming.
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.
