Perfect round on Operation Archer as a Sharpshooter

Post by Jarhead[NL] »

Date: Fryday 25 of April 2008
Time: 2000 up to 2130
Location: Operation Archer
Coordinates: Delta-Six

When we started the map, I joined a squad and requested a sniper kit. I went straight ahead to the hilltop by foot. But in the meantime i saw a good spot with a overview of the Main village. So I layed down and crawled slowly to the sight. I took my binoculars and checked the area.

I saw a Insurgents laying down some IED's and setting up a ambush. When I looked at the map, I saw my squad coming with a Humvee and right on the ambushed road. So I sad: "Stop, insurgents ambushing the road I will try to eliminate them." So I shot the first one with a detonator in his hands, the other one dived away and kept hiding. My squad jumped out and started walking and killed all insurgents. They setted up a Rally point and were making a way into the Village. I've covered them the hole time.

First contacts showing up on the roofs near the Mosque and I started to eliminate them one by one. During the round I killed 29 Insurgents with zero deaths. Ive returned twice to the base for ammo and I had once a ammobag. At the end when we had like 30 points or something I'd started spotting and helping my squad better then when I had ammo. This was really a great experience for such a sharpshooter-fan! :)

I hope you asked your SL to use that kit. If you had been in my squad and not asked me to use that kit i would have screamed at you and then kicked you.

Im sorry but im a little hostile towards snipers. :)

same spot where you are, but few rounds before i was usmc and i was screaming also cause i saw an insurgent with a m40 he just got in exchange for his knife:/,
probably the same guy i found with the same kit few minutes later lonewolfing just 50 meter north of the village.

they should really make restrictions for who is allowed to use special assets and who have to train it first, and especially for scoped nato weapons on insurgent/militia maps.

I hate the way we fixed the Manpads weapons so you couldn't blow snipers off the tops of hills with them. Now a good placed sniper on that map can pretty much own the other team.

I remember many a good time launching snipers into the air when they thought they could ravage my team :)

Would be elitist, I want a negative teamwork score to have consequences to which kits you could request though. I always aim for zero deaths, but it aint easy so well done

Yeah that would be awesome. Just like Americas Army! Would that be possible?

You must think I worked as the way at the beginning of the movie: 'Shooter' when the hostile trucks arriving. But they did not seen me the hole round. And they also fired some rpg's in my way but they still didn't saw me. But a spotter would be awesome in that round!
