PR community interest
I have noticed the past 4-6 weeks that players of PR have been slowly dwindling. People who once were steady PR players are losing interest. now, it is not very noticeable but it is what I have observed. I believe that .8 will renew interest and bring back "retired" players. now, I am NOT asking when it will be released or what will be in it at all. what I am asking members of the PR communtiy to consider is that perhaps .8 be released ahead of schedule with less features than have been talked about in the recent weeks. although I am completely satisfied to wait, others may not be. people may leave PR by the way side in light of a new fad game. You may think "we don't need windward fans" but I think as much as we all hate to admit it, we do.

Re: PR community interest
The biggest flaw with pr is the players, change how you play or try and use better tactics. Ultimately the game will always become boring update or not, if without good multiplayer/teamwork
Instead of playing for score, kills or flags even. Set yourself objectives to help influence your teams chances, control bridges is usually a good one.
Or a simple flank, search and destroy for rp/bunkers is another, instead of fighting an endless stream of enemies

Nah, go play tf2. Sometimes pr is just too frustrating especially when it relys on (stupid) teamswe don't need windward fans" but I think as much as we all hate to admit it, we do.

Re: PR community interest
there is always a slow decrease in players after every release, but providing there is a minimum of one full server playing all the time there is really nothing to worrie about.
Even the Aus community from the looks of the player pop graphs are even managing to get 1 full server every night when all of us are sleeping.
The player pop is going to no where near disappear or die any time before v0.8 is ready to release, and with it it will bring back the old players and with it new players like every release dose.
But at the moment going by the past week of stats we have a average of over 300 players constantly playing PR which is much higher than are player pop average for v0.4, which was a max of a round 400 players after its release and a average of around 150 players.

Nothing to worry about! It's summer, ppl have exams (soon done I guess!), and .8 is close. People will be back!
At this stage, all features should be done, and they are probably close to having tested everything, just fixing a few last moment bugs! That's my guess!
No no no! What we don't need is some rushed release with lots of bugs!zephyr89s wrote:What I am asking members of the PR communtiy to consider is that perhaps .8 be released ahead of schedule with less features than have been talked about in the recent weeks.

Re: PR community interest
There's always going to be people moving on to different things, whether it be new games or lifestyle related stuff. I don't think the PR community is shrinking as a whole from what I can see, there's been a noticeable influx of new players lately.
