Well being a marine myself I understand the 'feelings' the corps has for the army. :) (love you UKF)

Also duckhunt, there are mostly USMC forces there, so its also realistic. :D

Depends on the asset level for this map, sounds like they would have some big vehicles? Whichever faction gives the best gameplay should be the one used I reckon, Im not sure on the practical differences but at a basic level its m4 vs m16 right

How about a combination of USMC and the Army. You can have both mixed as one faction. They both use the same flag and same voices so it shouldn't be a problem and they do cooperate like that IRL too.

Really looking forward to this. Hate to say it but Muttrah ain't got **** on this :mrgreen:

Yea, to be honest by the time were thinking assets il be gone so you will have to put your trust in the likes of fuzzhead for that kind of info. Pester him nearer the time. ;)

You really can't combine USMC and Army. I'm sorry, the equipment is just too different.

I meant put 3 USMC and 2 Army spawnable kits in the init.con so you have one faction made up out of 2. And the equipment isn't that different. They both use the same Humvee and tank (ingame of course). APC's are different same as choppers but the choppers aren't going to be used on 512x2 map anyway.

i hope a true city map gets atleast a tank.

hopefully this wont be like basrah where there is so much space outside the city that a tank can just sit and rape. Need something where it has to be inside the city... true urban combat.

That would be cool.

Fully urban maps would defenetly be awesome with insurgents.

Hey guys...No matter how much you sling your e-dicks around your still missing the point. You all looking at a WIP. Dont worry about the factions, the maps still has to be made first. :-D

Ok..Just saying,once this map is done,hope USMC is in it,and there better be some Abrams..Abram's in fallujah is like..a tradition,lol.Love those things on the small streets...But take your time guys,want this map to PWN!

It's gonna be Rocks Vs Jdams (kidding)

I don't doubt that Fuzzhead or someone else can finish it,it's mostly the little things that concern me:

-ambush positions
-vehicles in the "right" places
-roofs you can actually hide on,without being picked out a "mile' away
-fog (or the lack of)
-pick up kits in the right places
-underground (covered) cache positions
-destructible assets (buildings) closer to the center "covered" by the
non destructible
etc.......
Just general "Balance of Power" is what I am after,were either side
has a good chance of winning,and (if possible) please keep in mind that organized teams (clans,tournaments) like to play these maps too,not just pubs.


Whether it's USMC or US Army or both: -my RPG's and Molotov's don't
have much preference.


People crying:"Oh no it won't be ready for 0.8" - there are new maps
in 0.8 don't be so greedy please.As for "stop teasing us",well I prefer
this to Ricky R. Don't want to be "teased" don't look, as simple as that.
A huge thanks for all you have done (not just talking about this map) and will do - DuckHunt.

They both fought in fallujah, although I medevaced more marines from fallujah than I did army soldiers, but thats not an indication of the total numbers of each fighting there. In my opionion, its up to Duckhunt as to which fights on this map because they both were there. I can say though, that the most impressive thing about this map is the unbelievable detail and feel of absolute destruction and mayhem that occured in fallujah and Duckhunt has surpassed anything I could have imagined for a PR map as far as an accurate and realistic representation of a battle hardened city in Iraq Cant freakin wait to play this map on a full server.
