Just managed to fail my way into TKing both my SL and a fellow squad member with a mounted .50 Cal, Saw things moving in a field on Al Barash about 300M away and let those Insurgents have it...Only to be given a nice little set of warnings [davetboy_19 Teamkills His SL] [davetboy_19 Teamkills a squad member]. It was all good for a minute, They didn't know that it was me who mowed them down. And neither did I, but we all managed to look at the messages at the same time.

Both a facepalm and Fail were promptly awarded to me.

My Fail's were in the same round on Al Basrah. I was driving the RIB and got over towards the A side of the map. I turned around to pick up some squadmembers and ran face first into the bridge pylon. The boat flipped and I either drowned or was crushed (hard to tell with the BF2 engine).

The second fail was when 2 Brits where in the cache house above the VCP bridge. I jumped on the SAW and started firing through the windows to kill them. Next thing, "You have been shot as a traitor"

2 Fails in a round

This one is quite weird...13 or so minutes left in the round on Kashan Desret, me and the squad I was in was attacking the MEC oupost, after holding our own against a tank and an AA vehicle we finally get reinforcements, including the commander. A MEC squad on the ridge behind the outpost started to fire on us, so the commander decides to use the JDAM to kill the squad, after it detonated I went around the other side of the ridge while there was still dirt from the bomb, there were still surivors not even 2m from where the center of the blast was...

My tale of fail.

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the map (I have not played PR in months, uni work and lost CD - that in itself is fail). There are a lot of oil derricks and small compounds it is a UK vs MEC map.

Anyway I log on there are no empty squads, great. I spawn in a compound. There was a landrover and a couple of guys there. I hop in the drivers seat and wait for one of the guys to get in. I drove towards an exit that was covered in barbedwire, remembering (or at least thinking that I remembered) that vehicles can pass through barbed wire I drove on through. I promptly exploded. I am certain it was a mine because after I instantly logged off in shame I checked the guide and it says that vehicles are not affected by barbed wire.

Anyway I would like to take this oppourtunity to apologise to whoever was in that land rover with me.

Hopefully I will see you all in game soon I am giving up holding out on buying a replacement CD and am buying one tomorrow.

Long story short:
I got my whole squad wiped out as insurgents on Basrah, while trying to ambush an APC. Wanted to pop up from behind a wall, was a bit too impatient and fired a little early.
After that I apologized, left the squad, quit PR and ended up playing minessweeper...

Wow, a lot of fails occur at basrah lol

My first takes place in basrah too, my squad and i are in the village searching for a cache when we see a civvie go runnin away, well we follow him until he goes and jumps in the river. So all six of us are sittin around waitin for this dude to get out, when all of a sudden an insurgent comes around to ambush us, but get this, we all kill him, but another guy who had come in a little late decided to nade him, which rolled into the river and KILLED THE CIVVIE!! :26_suicid

My second i will shorten. On kashan my squad and i got on the roof of one of the bunkers, an enemy cow came flyin in, and i manage to pop an at4 shot at it, only to see the husk of my victory come crashing down on me and my 3 buddies.

Al Basrah is the land of fails, The place where small but productive elves design and create not only high quality fails but individual fails for everyone playing.

Yeah, you knows those things you see far out in the distance that you assume is a soldier....or that bush that you think is a soldier because you never really noticed it there before.....well look again(it's the fail elves)

Thats right, And if you line up a shot at these 'maybe enemy' bushes that are the elves, they will move a member of your team directly in front of your bullet...Theres a 99.9% chance that it will result in a clean head shot. Unlike when you shoot at the enemy, this time the elves will move the enemy soldier just a fraction to the left...resulting in a brilliant miss.

In a surprising turn of events, I was also playing Basrah today (battlearena's server) and failed to witness some epic fail (except, maybe, from me).

Medico (you know who you are even though I don't remember your whole name) and I had a great discussion about how Harry Potter's invisibility cloak kept the insurgents from seeing us, and it was probably the most fun round of PR I have ever played. To anyone who was in that squad, I apologize for my total fail as a SL, but I hope you had a good time.

The round before, however, was in fact fail. [1 squad+1 APCx6 retards-too-dumb to man the turret]/suicide car=FAIL.

Text of one surprised teammate:

"How did we just lose 25 points!!?!?!"

So, with every fail, there can be some fun.

yesterday there was a team on our server that was SO epically failing, it wasn't even funny anymore. When you get to the chinese main on sunset as USMC capping it after 10 minutes w/ only one death in the squad due to a friendly trigger happy automatic rifleman it's definitely not fun...
so they failed. when we changed team, we started to fail as well like: aaah. there's a friendly squad at point A, don't worry about that. 2 min later: OMFG. Friendly squad down, NME coming from point A...

all teh time. not fun :(
