Today I was playing on the dam level. I was US and the squad that I was in was moving across the bridge to take the town below the MEC outpost. The bridge had been blown up earlier and we had just crossed it using the support beams. (though it is harder than it looks. I fell but was fortunatly healed)
We had just gotten across the bridge, and our SL was randomly throwing smoke grenades. Out of the smoke came a huey, flying VERY low to the ground. It scared the **** out of me. We were still laughing about it when the a series of small explosions erupted on the side of the chopper, which was still flying low to the road, as it got hit by a few rounds from an enemy APC. The chopper immediatly dropped to the ground, landing perfectly in the middle of the road. We thought that the pilot had been shot out and that the Helo was still operational. Then the engine started popping with small explosions, followed by the fuel tanks exploding, destroying the chopper. That's when we noticed the pilot running towards us. We patched him up and a helo soon picked him up. Immediatly after the pilots changed their tactics in dropoffs on the ridge.
It was an amazing crash.

Surviving chopper crashes is awesome 
. Especially if you have a full chopper, a squadmate gets shot. You can hear numerous bullets hitting the metal of the chopper. An RPG hit, taking the life of another squadmate, the annoying alarm of death ringing in your ear. The chopper is shaking and spinning, ground is coming closer. Then.. a black screen, lots of blood.... but you're alive!
