[AAR] You just need to nudge them a bit...

Post by Solid Knight »

The most awesome kill in all of PR; pushing an enemy vehicle off a cliff. I don't remember the map's name but I managed to push an enemy tank off a "cliff" over looking Coal Mine with my AAV. It's one the greatest moments I've had playing. Right up there with the time a huge cluster of Army soldiers decided to camp in an alley on top of an IED I had accidentally placed.

Umm . . . ? :p

Back on-topic: if I tried that myself, I'd probably get blown up before I could get 50 meters close. Maybe in vanilla, it could work.

That map is Battle for Quinling BTW, made by Rhino. Oddly enough, the map guide in the Wiki is confidential. View source - Project Reality Guide

What are you hiding, PR team? :o :p

Improper quotation as I did not put emphasis on 'not' and 'intended to be used'. How are we supposed to trust you when you're willing to alter people's statements?

he's highlighting points you've said, which is fine.

but he's also being a little geeky, showing he spends too much time on these forums :D

He also didn't pick up on the fact that is was a joke.

Anyway, you're supposed to state any and all alterations you've made as changes in emphasis can change meaning.

you also gave no indication it was a joke /joke at the end, or a smile helps

he hasn't altered your work in anyway, just highlighted areas. I've read it with and without, and the meaning remained the same

I don't like to insult people's intelligence by telling them my jokes are jokes.

It's kinda difficult to see if someones joking or not on a forum.
Instead of telling people it's a joke you can add a smiley ;)

that's a vanilla sniper classic, when they hang with their upper body over the edge and you go for the kill.
it's more fun to hide of a squad runs passat you at a forest map, and then stalk them with a knife. you can't hold that smile back then you're slowly getting closer!

Once in vanilla BF2 I pushed my commander about a third of the way across the map and left him in the middle of a road.

I had it 2 Times on Muttrah... Shoot a guy with a sniper @ 500 m. He was on a roof. But think under fire he didnt check it any more, stands up run like hell, fall from the roof and died...

I pee my pants after see it the 2 time...

I did this to someone who was sitting AFK in a house, pushed his body out into the open into the other house

Also pushed an AFK pilot camper on 0.5 Basrah behind the hangars so me and my pilot could get to the Cobra first :p cheeky I know

If you use a car and are really careful you can push them much faster. I'd leave them stranded somewhere far away.
