Would much rather see the GL have iron sights like everything else
The spotter system is loadsa fun, I like doing it with grenadiers but also using support gunners and guiding their shots to target so they can hail down lead from above

Sounds like the Packered Mortar Gun in the First Strike Mod for BF2142. It can lob HE bolts over several hundred meters, and if you actually do some training beforehand offline (especially using BattleRecorder to see afterward how your shots land) or use a forward spotter, preferably one who has VOIP, that thing is deadly, especially when you have a whole mortar squad (spotter, guy or guys with ammo, and several mortars taking turns to fire for a continuous rain of bolts ). Use it once on Mos Espa from the vantage point of one of the map's many tall buildings and you'll love it for the rest of your life.
The downside is that it seems to be thebest thing in the entire mod when it comes to ticking enemies off. I swear, only a single volley fired and you've got a whole squad charging you. The same will probably be true in PR .

So just running around popping off grenades at people you can see is OK, but getting to work as a team with an ammo provider and spotter is "a really gamey tactic"? I call it teamwork, personally.I hope your saying this sarcastic. This is not how they use the launcher in real life and clearly this is a real gamey tactic.

Top notch idea, I've done it my self before, by accident...to a team mate. wasn't thinking and thought I had the smoke grenades selected, Turns out it was the HE Rounds and when I randomly fired a round it ended up TKing a team mate from miles away

Sure its teamwork. But its not realistic. Its just a game tactic ( teamwork ) instead of a real life tactic. To me this is in the same line as prone diving just because you can in a game. You dont see any soldiers in real life doing that?
If you carried a mortar or a weapon that was designed to shoot at unseen targets over a big distance than it would be a cool teamwork trick/tactic. But now its just abusing a weapon. I dont believe that the grenades fired out of these weapons would be so accurate in real life. If they are than Im shutting up
