[AAR] Perfect round on Operation Archer as a Sharpshooter # 2
A continuation of: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f112-pr-tales-front/38659-perfect-round-operation-archer-sharpshooter.html
Date: Sunday 5 of October 2008
Time: 2000 up to 2200
Location: Operation Archer
Coordinates: Delta-Six
When the round with Korengal Valley just ended. I saw the next map would be Operation Archer. I thought immediatly at that great round when I was a sniper. And had nice teamwork and score.
So I decided to request a Sniper-kit and go to the same direction and spot by foot. When I came there, I crawled to the position and took my binoculars. First there were no single hostile in the area, but after 2 minutes I saw a three man squad heading to the road and with the ideas to ambush the upcoming USMC. Ofcourse I took them all out. My squad walked up and set a rallypoint outside Main Village. And there it started....
RPG's and lots of insurgents trying to make their way to the Rally and truck. I took as many as possible out and any high threads would be eliminated. We were the only squad who was attacking the village because the others were busy with their cache at the other side of the map. But we hold them off for a while until everyone died and disappeared.
So I was on my own in the squad and a new member joined the squad and I let him be the squadleader. He maked his way up to the Hilltop to make a firebase but this didnt worked out. He decided to spot for me and he would set markers and stuff. (Thanks to (1stSgt)McNamara) Suddently there were 2 caches in the village and it was full of Insurgents. By the time the USMC arrived I had at least like 20 kills and still zero deaths..
After a while they started shooting RPG's at the direction of the hilltop. Frustrating insurgents we thought. But this just worked out pretty good. They kept shooting RPG's to the spotter but didnt noticed me the hole round.
At the end of the round I climbed up the hilltop for my third rearming and start shooting from up there. After a while a Insurgent climbed up and shot me from behind. The first one who even tryed it... But that was 30 seconds before the last cache would be blown up. So I enjoyed this round and hope I will have more of them in the future
Result: 48 Kills, 1 Death. And a total of 3024 points!!
And a bunch of idiots who believed I was hacking.. * Sigh *
Ofcourse I am....

I believe dagoober was referring to your last pic, which shows you only having a 48-0 kdr.
However, its possible also to see the red stains of blood smeared on the screen, implying that you were killed.
Lets no start an argument over a pic (I know that you haven't yet, but I've seen it happen to much in any forum)

[R-CON]ReadMenace - Are you referring to the obvious double-post or the less obvious, high-resolution military photographs thread?

First point summed it up, I don't mind snipers, but some just waste the kit, that's what I hate, because then the people who know what they're doing can't get one.davetboy_19 wrote:See people, all Snipers arn't all idiots who don't help the team out and just do their own thing.

*writes Jarhead down on trusted snipers list *
Nice job.
Oh and BTW... at the end of round 3024 is the highest score that comes up I believe (don't quote that). If you go out of game you can usually view your score way higher from the main menu. It's a long story, but basically someone hit a glitch or something on Zatar and their points were up into the 5000's, they just wouldn't stop going up!

finally nice to see someone who isn't wasting the sniper kit... snipers aren't really appreciated by other infatry enough when we keep whole squads of infantry out your way.

Sniping in Project Reality is my favourite thing to do. I am very obsesst about sniping and stuff. And If my english wasnt so bad I'd liked to make a good tutorial! I will try someday with the newest version of PR 0.85 If there are new changes or something. Thanks for all the compliments!
