I think this vid, if it is a an accurate representation of deviation in .85, confirms the changes in the above mentioned category. Notice how he kept hitting that tree consistently and didn't like... I dunno... miss by 3 soldier lengths?

Local server conditions differ greatly from populated dedicated server conditions, so don't hold onto anything too tight yet.

"internal troops" ?
They do look like MVD OMON, but I cant say 100%, the res is too low for me to read the writing on the back of thier flack jackets.

Anyway, very nice. Very nice indeed.

Interesting that the weapon is cocked with the right hand though.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

It's a still target less ~ 100m away there is no reason not to hit it.
The full auto mode on the other hand was all over but the tree
(single hit every burst?)

Sorry to have to come in and take a dump.....

But seriously those iron-sights are just trash....WHY can't u make it possible to aim accuratly past 50 yards? They look like the same sights we have now, which we all pretty much agree are terrible and useless past any significant range...

I mean yea the models look nice and I like the scope, but it kills me to see that these irons are still so small, with little to no night picture.

What happened to the .85 AK sights in that video Chuch made a while back, it was for the AK47...those irons were actually useable like back in the .7 days...

What's the deal?
Sights are good... I don't know whats the deal with you.

You must have exceptionally great eyes if you see all that from a low resolution video that isn't exactly sharp.

I lol at the bayonet attack on the tree.
I can see some players in the future going out from a trench running towards the enemy with the bayonet screaming "CHARGE!!!" (Anyone knows how to say that in russian?)
Might at first not look very practical but there have been some recent usage of such tactics in which it could be helpful: Bayonet - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nice work, thanks guys.

Vid shows a few veeery interesting things :D

1. Sprint time increase - :D :D :D :D
2. Deviation changes - if an AK101 can be that accurate when firing with that close shot spacing that you see at about 48secs in then imagine how accurate something like a L85 is gonna be :)
3. Smoke dispersal - when hes firing the smoke grenades at 2.40 the dispersal looks almost instant from the smoke grenades, so no more having to wait 5 minutes while your smoke screen builds up before you can move :D
4. AK74 is gonna owwwwwn in close combat :D

Question: Is the AK74 going to be a russian kit as well as insurgent? And will it be limited or one of the spawnable options?

Would be interesting to have different weapons that you can actually spawn with on a normal AAS game.

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... "
