[List] Show and Tell - Your Epic 'Fire Bases'

Post by Pure_beef »

We all love a good fire base, however some are better than others, be it the FB's position or its weapon placements. When it comes to fire bases: 'You either got it, or you ain't'

To see how fire bases should look, i would like you to put up screen shots of your finest FB's from the best angles and from its position on the map. We will then comment on your FB, either praising or riddiculing it, depending on the above.
I will put up one of mine at some point, when i get round to screen shotting one, so you can see how a pro does it

The owner/creator of the best FB will win recognition amongst all of the PR members, a prize far greater than any sum of money...

Let the games begin!

Not mine, and a bit useless, but pretty cool.

One on Archer, we started with 3 people, we started a firebase at castle . By the time we had a 8 people everything was set up . We had set up wire, HMGs and had even gotten a hummer up on the mountain. We had Tippman sniping (for those who know him). It was pretty epic being in the castle, with one of the best snipers, a HAT and a LAT kit, also an LMG kit. It was pretty epic because we dominated practically the whole map, and we had another squad mobilize to take out caches. Basically all the taliban were holed up in the buildings or riding around so theyd be harder to get shot at. It was pretty epic until another squad took over and they couldnt even repair the firebase there....

Our "Firebase Port" lasted surprisingly long. It was handy to defend, because enemies had to run along the dock to get to it. Now just imagine it with barbed wire over the dock, and it would be pretty epic. We even had amphibious supply crates!

Built this cool looking firebase on Korengal Valley, at the Outpost flag. Easy to defend, loads of machineguns and barbed wire to make it hard for the enemy to grapple in. After I built it, remembered this thread and just had to take a picture.

Why do people always want to defend the outpost so bad? I mean destroying the cashes is the priority and yet they always defend it. And mostly its more then half the team... :|

Because if you don't defend it you don't get any vehicle spawns?

Mora, if you hold outpost, assets respawn. Its also a pretty good spawnpoint strategically, but an arse to defend. Felt like defending it today. I made it clear for everyone to bugger off from Outpost and go do something useful, so only had 6 guys defending.

Because many caches spawn on the north side of the river, and it is a VERY well defended spawn point which can be easily configured to be almost INPENETRABLE, it is also very easy to defend, not to mention you have a view of practically the whole south side of the map which to MG, snipe or HMG from.

edit:forgot it also allows assets to spawn

I thought that was pretty epic...later a british supply truck loaded with troops came, and then flipped over the bridge and assaulted that other stairway to get up which had an MG facing right towards it
