Sorry, I'm running 40 posts per page, so your link doesn't really help...

But I see where the post is, and you won't know if it works out till .85 is out of course...
Actually, it does. You are running 40 posts per page. He is running 10 posts per page, that means 3x10=30. Thus means, it's on your first page.

I found out later after i posted, to bad you cant delete or edit any posts made in this section.

I don't like this update at all, to be honest. There are just so many ways this can, and will, be abused. Like people putting them right next the cache, hidden in the RPG/PKM/RPK. Someone walks to get a sweet kit, no more cache and one more intel point for the coalition. Putting them in popular insurgent routes, etc. There will be just so much teamkilling. A lot of great work went into the model and animations and everything, but I fear that most of that work will be in vain. More harm than good, I think. The insurgents wont get a huge help from this asset, if the Devs hope that this will even out the odds.

Plus, it will make the squad leader think twice about being pointman. The SL is the most important person in a insurgency game, I fear that he will no longer be taking his respectful position on point, putting markers out for the squad and finding rally spots.

isnt the pointman suppose to be a .... pointman and not the SL ?

I can already see some random person placing the Grenade Trap ontop of a cache.

Turns out some insurgent teammate comes by to get an RPG, he detonates the trap and dies. The explosion of the Grenade Trap itself blows up the cache, and somewhere 1 mile away, the guy that originally placed the trap ceases to live from a unexpected heart failure.

I think people will... well.. I HOPE people will be smart enough to not place it directly on a cache... seeing as the BLUFOR dont have to physically stand on the cache to destroy it... ;)

I'm confused by that too. I make it a point to never let the the SL or Medic be point on any squad I am in. If the SL is the first one down it makes it hard to reset the rally and if the medic goes down then nobody is getting back up.

I can see some TKing with this, but since it is either the trap or throwing them normally, I don't know how many folks will use them except in ambushes.

I love the idea, hopefully they will be used wisely... I could actually see them being used in heavily wooded areas, be a great way to start an ambush.

Ok, What if you do spot one? Give the US/Brit troops wire cutters or something to disarm it. The engineers don't need a Trip Flare that no one uses anyway.
