Is it time for the 'squad sig' kit?

Something along the lines of the commander/squad leader having more control (request-able through officer kit) over who got specific kits like sniper & HAT/LAT it might cut down on waste of them. I love how PR has evolved over the years to reflect realism and not caving into the jack off nilla crowd. Hats off to all the developers and contributers!

I personally find this an issue. The reason I believe PR has been such a hit is because with the Insurgency style of play, it has introduced the realism and grit that is the modern wars we are fighting. I have never been interested in MEC or PLA and the introduction of more fictional battles seems in my opinion to be heading the mod into the wrong direction.
Why create fictional battles when between IDF and Russia when IDF can happily fight Hamas?
This is obviously just my opinion but with a name like Project Reality maybe creating an "alternate reality" isn't the way to go.

Its better to have a map with IDF v Russians than another map with mec or china as opfor.
Hamas maps are in insurgency mode, so one conventional aas map is a good choice.
When proper opfor [hezbollah? arf?] will be created it will probably replace Russians, and Russian Forces vs Israel is as realistic as GB v China..
Btw. devs,
Can we have radio chatter sound [the one from commander outpost] when the radio is selected?

I think he means that soon, there will be maps like IDF vs US in Moscow, LOL.
But I think its still kinda interesting to see IDF vs Russia in a game with real to-date weapons and equipment. No other game has that.

This thread is not for discussion of Opfor v. Blufor if discussion. There will be warnings/infractions given out if you guys dont stop talking about who should fight who.

No, the existing squad markers are still present and can be placed with no limitations just like normal. As stated in the OP you do not need to use the SL radio to place the squad markers, they function as they always did.
This new system allows team level markers to be placed by both the SLs and by the CO, compensating for the limitations implemented by EA when preventing COs from placing markers at will and hopefully creating a greater level of inter-squad teamwork in the process.

wow so many HUD screens for SL now...it looks a little overwhelming i hope i can adjust to this
i still dont see why you need to set a marker and then set the distance...

I Have not read every post in this. But for the love of Pants. please change the "Marking with Lazar, Now" voice over to say "Target is Lazar locked" or something like that. I Still amazes me how so many players just make the sound "Marking with Lazar, Now". But "Don't" really laze at all. They think the COMORose is lazing for them.
But apart form that. Looks good to me

Good point Oddsodz, never really thought about that. But when u say it I do remember alot of episodes where I am gunner for Attk helo, and people keep saying "marking with lazar now" and I cant see the lazer target. Then I have always blamed the fucked up lazer targeting.

Cool, you need to add an enemy wheelbarrow though.
