Yeah it's me and it's because my mic has lost the protective cover so I have to put it underneath my chin to stop it....

I've decided to start doing some videos centered around tactics in PR, as well as my normal gameplay videos. I'm not going to start setting up scenarios or anything like that, just taking clips from my normal gameplay where I feel a particular aspect has been demonstrated well.
To that end, here is the first one showing an infantry assault.

Good vid, we had a clearly overwhelming force but it demonstrates how aggressive tactics can really have devastating effect.

After a little break, new video...
Playing Siege at Ochamchira (very underated map imo), I decided to take my squad on a patrol through the woods to disrupt the enemy advance and eliminate lines of supply/reinforcement.
As you can see, this was fairly successful
Enjoy.

I'm sorry Dtacs, I appreciate that you put down a base of fire, and your other squad mates moved in for the kill (nice job), but to me that just looked like an enemy squad was caught out in the open because their SL didn't use terrain, and they were flanked and overpowered.
To clarify, the video shows a good job well done, but I don't think its'a very good representation of the merits of surpression in PR. More like an enemy squad was in a terrible position and got overpowered and outguned. They did also start firing back, and if I was leading them I would have ordered them into the dead ground between your squad and theirs. At least then it would have been a close in nasty fight and we could have taken a couple of your assault team with us.
I would be interested to see the same attack against an enemy who knew you were there or going to be coming from that direction.
Edit: Oh, also, the spacing between your squad members and also the other 'blue' guys was perfect for woodland terrain imo. I do wonder how succesful a team would be if they moved out en masse in a [spaced out] blue swarm. I feel that having a squad bunched together like the opfor one in the vid is just asking to be annihilated.

That was a nice run tho. and yes! Ochimara is an underrated map. Although when the attacking team slowed down after you left it felt quiet a bit.

PRTA Server.
Playing Muttrah as the MEC, this was just one of those rounds of PR where death seems to come from absolutely everywhere, and yet you barely ever see an actual enemy.
If you wanna see lots of kills look elsewhere, but if you wanna see me being scared shitless as bullets, grenades and rockets come around every corner then please watch.
