you are so funny man. :D why do you think all other peoples are in your side. it is disgusting that I am forced to play as americans or russians and not germans ( by the way I will play ww2 games :D ). as an iranian I would like to play as german character whether he is super ultra SS or whremacht or other german army branches and you know I am sure there are many peoples that accept this, germans had awesome, beautiful and beast assets and clothes in the whole history of wars.it is not a bad thing in iran. don't get me wrong we are in german side because of historical reasons. they were enemy of our enemies.
by the way it is game and don't take it serious ( I hope we will see a game with beautiful german symbols like swastika ( we have the same symbol in our ancient culture that be called mehre gardon ( ??? ????? ) )and next time before posting something remember that all peoples are not american or russian and think there is opposite of your opinion. :smile:
and one thing to say: if developers wants to make ss, nazi, super ultra xxx nazi or like these come to iran. there is no any law against them.

Question to devs: are you developing some another armor antitank vehicles for example Hetzer, Bison etc ?

No. For the Germans we do have the Sd Kfz 233, but there are currently no plans to use it.

Hmm, Sd.Kfz. 251 have a lot of different variants with minor difference in model. Less work but will give us more vehicles - with AA, with AT, with howitzer, with bridges (in game it could be first armoured logi!).

i don't know if you're trolling and i'm not gonna put anymore posts after this b/c i dont want to derail, but:

1. swastika banned in germany along with other themes is not about 'how cool this faction is!' it's about playerbases, people aren't going to buy a game that they can't play, and they're not gonna play a game that they 'could' have if it's banned.

that's correct, maybe for future but for now I'd personally be fine with the 233 as a HT-TD. can skip te process of making the 251 into an AT mount but with the variants youre correct.. could even have the anti-infantry 251/16 flamethrower variant(but probably not)

@QuickLoad; americans ( englishes ) and russians did deep sick shit too. but you know lets don't talk about these things. we are from two different worlds and all you say seems to me nonsense and vice versa for you.
so lets talk about PRWW2 and concentrate to encourage AfterDune to spend his free time more on PRWW2 of course simple one.

This is a free mod, so nothing stops it from being historically accurate.

Surely this could be ported over to 1.4 while new features are being worked on? There's lots of love for WW2 and it'd be nice to see it back again.

We already have it working in a branch on a recent 1.4.X master. But it's filled with WIP stuff and unfinished assets and missing files. We aren't going to waste time by making it ready and managing a public play of it. Feedback has been gathered plenty in previous betas, now we need to finish it.

Let me put it in simple words, there will be no more releases of PR:WW2 until the initial release of it is ready. Which is the exact same story for all (community) factions, most maps and other content and features that has been put into PR last decade.

A little update of what we're working on:

We're currently fixing both 1P and 3P animations for various weapons. You may not remember this anymore, but many 3P animations were either very wrong or missing/hidden. Hands misplaced, bad or simply wrong reload animations, floaters, etc.

Also, remember the US didn't have any proper MG kit? Well, we're changing that. We've recently exported the M1919A6 machine gun. It has animations, although they need some love to make the weapon feel heavy and realistic.

Next to that, a lot of smaller bugs and tasks have been fixed. From missing indoor sounds to updating/improving textures for various items to new vehicle icons (the little icons in the lower left corner when inside a vehicle).

The major things we still have to get done are the animations, coding the Tiger tank and re-export (and code) the new Sherman.

That's basically what's keeping us busy :) .

I'll have to re-read that again, sorry ;) .

We did pay attention to TS4ever's squad loadouts and as such, normal US soldiers carry less Carbines and more Garands, whilst paratroopers carry more Carbines than Garands.

The shotgun has been removed from the Pointman btw. It wasn't realistic to have, despite it being an awesome weapon ;) .

Regarding the amount of SMGs, we haven't touched those yet, still thinking about it.

Just started watching Band of Brothers again, it made me want to play PR WW2 so badly!
