The real life M1 Garand has a peephole sight, however, this is impossible to reproduce with 3d sights in the BF2 engine. So the rings are exaggerated in FH2.

Ah it is exaggerated in FH2? That thought never crossed my mind! I do like how the gun is in FH2 but if that is the case then that is really interesting to hear from one of the lead devs.

In the console exclusive game Call of Duty 3, the sight does kind of look more similar to the peep sight but I believe in COD WAW it was slightly bigger as well so I thought it was a real feature.

Here is also a real M1 Garand sight, which is a real peep hole like the original BFKorea model, so it actually looks like that was the actual way they officially were.

Also since I got your attention, do you think FH2 could use our C96 or M712 Maschinenpistole?

It is really good poly. I shared it with PR but don't know that they use it. I also got an A-26 Invader I was willing to share with other mods.

Ignore that texture, it is Korean war era night fighter paint, but we have a brighter silver and green variants.

I don't know how much is it related to the camera itself.

During last beta I felt like irons on US weapons are supposed to be thick, making it harder to shoot accurately, because they were semi auto, while K98 was bolt action and thin ironsight weapon, balancing both factions. Is that correct?
To be honest I always liked more FH2 scopes compare to PR.

AR15 also have a peep sight and are exxagerated in PR, even Galil has it but somewhat less exaggerated and its rather hard to shoot.

I would just like to ask a question regarding WW2. I checked this link

and one thing I don't understand is the one which says WW2 is not comatible with current version of PR so that's why we can't play now.

I was just wondering, because I remember two years ago in January/February I believe, there used to be some servers up for people to play, and it used to be regular, like every other week they would make the servers available. I think it used to be also before and maybe it was there also after but I remember only the WW2 events roughly 2 years ago.

So I know this might be a stupid question but why this is not done anymore? Start the servers once a month just for fun?

I am just asking because those times were the best times of PR for me, I really loved it and I also befriended someone I met there and we used to play together afterwards, I felt like the community was even nicer and the teamwork was great too.

Because that version doesn't work anymore due to technical reasons and no one wants to really use their time to make it work again, when they can instead use that time working on the final release.

is there a chance to play PR ww2 this year ?

Also why we can't just play the old version ? until the new one is ready ?
i mean like making the old version independent with it's own old files without calling new PR files ?
that way we can play both and patient for PR ww2 will keep growing and in the same time the new PR will keep working without a downgrade or something ?

All respect to devs you did a great job and you still making this community the best ever =)

as it is said, the WW2 is not compatible or obsolete with the current PR's file and also the python codes as well i think..

You should read the new update man. According to the Devs, they will work hard to release PR:WWII in the 1.6 update.

Well, I have independent PR 1.3 with WW2 mod. It is possible to setup server for it, but I doubt that DEVs want it. Personally I'd wait for a full release, because playing 3 maps all over again would be super boring.

well i'm really excited about the new one :) let's wait for PR 1.6 !

@VTRaptor yes that's what i'm talking about ! i personally could spend hours switching between Omaha beach and Carentan maps and never get bored as long as servers are full =)
yes what i'm asking devs for is to release the old PR ww2 so people play it and have an idea about it ... youtubers will play it and more people will know this community ( a lot of new players got no idea about the ww2 version ) and in the same time people will be inspired and when the new WW2 is ready ? servers will move to the new version and also clients will download it !
the ww2 pr is like drugs x) when you play it you quickly become addicted to it ! will you believe me if i told you that i check the forums like everyday to check if there are any updates =) ??

yeah thats right and its really awsome feeling when u wait for a somthing too long and excited for it than u get it after a longwait with good stuff like PR ww2 im sure that the DEVS are making a lot of surprises in the next update 1.6 ;) so that not gonna be too long its very very soon as i think

i miss this moment =) ! you can really understand how hard the WW2 was ?! bullets everywhere
to be honest Omaha beach was the best experience i had on Pr ! i mean everything was cool starting from ships to bunkers ! even the german side was funny with those huge anti ship canons :) god bless all the devs !

Yep ur right honestly i didnt ever play ww2 my 1st gameplay will be in the 1st release so im waiting and excited so hard ... and im sure that devs are making a lot of good things that waiting for us ;)

yes but it will change the balance of the game to US side ! because ships will destroy bunkers in the first minutes of the game and the landing will be easy ! when the US forces land on the beach ? it's over :D
unless if Germans got something powerful that could respond to ships ! like 88 mm cannon ... yes it will be funny

actually, this wouldn't be true to the events that happened at all.

The battleships worried about potentially hitting their own troops and decided to aim a bit further. That's why the WNs were usually safe and sound. German AA and artillery positions were further inland, so no Flaks for you.

I personally don't think the balance needs adjustments. The BETA infantry loadout massively favoured the Germans which already enjoyed having only to defend, but that's getting overhauled.

hahahahaha well ? i think the old version is so balanced ! it give more tickets to US Marines and Germans got heavy cannons and bunkers all over the beach !
the gameplay is amazing i can't remember a ww2 game that give you that much of options at omaha beach as PR ww2 did !
