The dev work was voluntarily so does this mean this is some kind of bdsm situation....

Hey DEV's any particular reason why the US boats on Vietnam (Op Barracuda) can survive a direct RPG hit? Were they this strong in R/l as well. Hit two boats one after another and both just swam away like no big deal. Why dont they use them in modern maps as well instead of those inflatable insta death ones.

Very glad to hear that, not looking forward to moving on to an Unreal engine... not really certain that I would transition.
Here's hoping the DEVs will hang onto BF2 for a while yet, or transition to an engine that is much more visually pleasing than the Unreal terrain-surfing engine.

I know that 1.3 isn't that old yet, but do you have a timeframe for the 1.4? Just would like to know when I can play Falklands again and if it's going to take a year or 2 years.

Completely mirrored factions wouldn't be any fun. No real variety.

1. Intelligence points. Can they go negative? Is there a point in dying as a martyr right at the start of round besides pissing off blufor violator? Or dying as a martyr when both caches are known?
2. Silent Eagle Conquest game mode. Can we get a rundown on the mode? Could make for a good event scenario.

Just a random question, did any of the dev team ever play the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942 and has this had any inffluence on the development of PR (just got the idea that the Lost Village map is kind of similar to Muttrah....)

I remember they had a 24/7 server, I played on that as late as 2010 I think

I've always felt DC Urban Siege felt more like Muttrah on a pure urban area perspective.

I'm guessing Dev's won't be answering random questions anymore

Nah, we will but its just hard to say if I have had no not had and influence from other maps, because I don't think I have intentionally other than Nuijamaa (Caspian Border). I'm sure many maps have influenced me subconsciously while making them, seeing something done a certain way, or a point of interest that was really cool.
Now that I think about it Shikotan was inspired off of Kiska, the same island that was the inspiration for Skira in Dragon Rising, quite a bit still carried over into White Dragon.

Never played it, the game that has probably affected me the most in what I might make is Joint Operations and black hawk down
I know that Outlawz took alot of inspiration from World in Conflict also

Black Hawk Down and Joint Ops were fantastically fun games when they came out!
