Unfortunately, they haven't aged as well as BF2. Then again, they're a bit older. They were solid games during their time though.

It has a similar shape and amount of forest, but the WiC map has more urban areas

If everything goes well, eventually this winter.
But before we actually focus everything on that one, there will be another 1.3x patch including exciting new content as well.

Is insurgency getting any changes? I feel like dbzao's mod was the best thing that ever happened to INS gamemode and a lot of other people agree. The 1-cache system was IMO the most working one, never got why that didn't get added in?

While insurgency will definitely see changes, DB's changes wouldn't help at all right now IMO given Insurgency is very much Opfor sided right now. Not speaking about the 1 cache thing. That might work but I'm talking about DB's entire gameplay tests (which was A LOT more then just 1 cache at a time).

Focus will lie mostly on providing balance again and also increasing the interest(famous 'fun' factor) for insurgent forces (giving them control over the game). But U_Turista can tell you more on that :)

I was mostly talking about the 1-cache system, it would actually help out blufor if anything. Having 1 concentrated objective would probably help as you often see blufor attempting to attack 2 caches at once and it doesn't really work out. Spreading resources makes it a lot harder to completely clear the cache as it's a task that requires a lot of manpower (more than what you can muster up with 2 caches active).

1 big objective at a time unifies the team more and I saw some of the most awesome insurgency gameplay teamwork wise on blufor in dbmod.

Only the cave caches and other tricky ones such as underground ones on Kokan would probably have to be removed for that to work properly. They were the only headache back in dbzao's mod.

As Opfor has to defend two caches at the same time there are usually more defending people attacking a cache then there are defending it. The only way Blufor can lose an Insurgency round is if they are absolutely incompetent.

Yeah. This is the thing, I agree with both navo and virus. Two caches can be better for blufor I'd one cache isn't working they can focus on the second which will have less defences.

On the other hand focusing on one can also work from time to time. It's really depended on the moment.

But our stats show that most maps have a high opfor win % for ins. So obviously we gotta do something about it.

Yeah, winning most rounds but not having much fun is not a great formula. Hopefully we can get it worked out in the coming versions :)

Nothing except a battle lost can be half so melancholy as a battle won.
