We had some little misunderstanding about rules yesterday. My SL made an SQ called "APC" in Beirut. As IDF we have 1 non-respawning Namer and rest are respawning M113. We lost the namer withing first 20 minutes. And after that we saw that some admins had made a squad called "M113" and claimed all the remaining APC's. There was no discussions or bad words involved, and I've no quarrel against any of you, but I suggest that you change the following asset rule so it would be easily understandable.

In your forums the rule is following: 9. Assets are reserved by appropriately named squads. Name your squad after the asset you intend to use.
*** NAME THE SQUAD EXACTLY AFTER THE ASSET INTENDED "BTR2" "TANK" "CAS HUEY"******

We wanted to use APC's (we didn't lock the squad), and as Namer is non-respawnable (why should one make a Namer squad if one can make APC squad and coordinate better with other players?)? I don't get this logic.

The log is this: No matter namer respawnable or not, name the squad after what you want. APC is too encompassing, and the admins will ignore it. What about the maps with the warriors and the scimis? Eh Eh? they are both APCs. Thats why the rule is there.

A scimitar is not an APC. But I get the rule, and I think everyone does too.

Good rule.

Yeah, I get the rule, it's logical, but in some cases IMO it's a lot better for everyone to be in one squad (both warriors and schimis working toghether). 2 different squads makes it so that teamwork on default is not as good. An idea to think about.

Just had a few AMAZING rounds tonight with the guys, had pretty much 4 squads working together pulling off amazingly epic assaults on Al Basrah! Bluedrake42 got the whole thing recorded and it should be up shortly. Check up on his youtube channel to see when it's posted, was great ^^

Last night on All Basrah ins players tried to roadkill me 4 times in 20 minutes none successful but on checking the rules it states no excessive roadkilling, so having a go once or twice is OK?
Generally happy with your server otherwise.

Thanks

We haven't gotten DDoS'd in the past couple days?

Sure, Datashack has had some network issues, but that takes us down for a few minutes at most and then we are right back up.

Just joined CIA server, while being absent from December. Pretty awesome game on Op. Marlin, racked up 19 kills with the sniper kit and managed to survive for one and a half hours until the server got DDOS'ed (?).

c'mon guys - unless you have evidence please keep it out of the open forums.

If you have suspicions - PM them to the Server Admins, but rumours and wild speculation really doesn't do anybody any favours

Cheers.

I apologize for not updating everyone on the situation sooner.

We were the victim of a decent sized DDoS attack. Our server provider has null routed us for 24 hours. If everything goes as planned we should be back online in about 10 hours (at the time of posting this).

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Last couple of nights the mapvotes have been pretty much the same, and have all been not-so-fun to play maps. Some admins have been a little bit rude about it too when asked for a revote or to put certain maps in, which I find a little discouraging :/

I don't have any specific names but yea, that's just my feedback from the last few nights of playing on da server! Makes it a little hard to play after a few days of the same maps XD
