No admin again whit almost full server...

There's this admin called "None". I see him when the server is full, preponderantly noons to evenings EU time. I think he should get a raise considering how active he is.

Looking at how you're treating players in this thread, on your forum and in-game I'm fairly sure there will be a lot of applications.

We took a lots of changes since the last time and worked on us. Feel free to hit me up on Discord and I will give you a quick lookaround if you are interested in.

Since we did that everything goes pretty well for us. There are even big parts now of the european timezone where the players enjoy to play on our server everyday.

Since when servers allow no mic players?

Quite a few rounds with a full server but no admin this week. Very sad considering you then have to wait until evening to have a couple of playable rounds on this game.

But keep telling people to apply for guest admin, as 2 people I know who are good admins applied, one of which is still waiting for a response, while the other did not receive any accepted/denied official answer in close to a month and a half, and in the end he had to withdraw his application due to it and due to being subject of admin abuse while playing on your server.

2.2 Squad Leaders must have and use microphone and speak English.

3.1 English is the primary language for this server, you must speak English to use heavy assets. You must have and use microphones to crew heavy assets, (drivers and gunners).

Im sure Raptor was curious why HOG doesnt include the mandatory mic for ALL players, like all other servers have...

I guess it's a part of something like 'wider look':
1. You let seed the server by no-mics.
2. You let newcomers check what is all about and came back with mic eventually. One wont get much fun without a mic - so one will came back with mic or leave this game for ever
3. Ofc no mics could be kicked when server is filled up to make some room for more competent players.

No Jevski, I know the rules (those are badly written on a side note...). You missed my point.

To ensure teamwork and high level of gameplay - servers require people to have and use a mic. But not on HOG, resulting in tens of annyoing people messing around, playing a wrong game.

We don't require everyone to have microphones. Only squad leaders need to have and use microphones.

Any squad leader can kick anyone from their squad for whatever reason, should they choose to. So ask your squad leader to kick the no-mic out of the squad. If everyone did that, we would kick them from the server under the "You must be in a squad" rule.

Our free kit rule will do the rest if its a problem on the squad leader level.

1) Do you want all servers to turn away new people who might not have a mic? I'm sure the the developers would love that. Let's turn away certain countries that are more likely to be troublemakers while we're at it, or people with high pings because they lag.

2) What about people who have families that are sleeping, or sick and can't speak but play as a squad and can type? Should we ban them too?

How good the gameplay is up to the squad leaders, not a microphone rule.

Its always the same names floating from squad to squad until they find somewhere they can be without a mic.

Why are you streamlining the enforcement in this way to the squad leaders especially when you dont let anyone lock squads? How are you ultimately going to get rid of these people?

I dont see the logic in this, everything HOG-admins do seem contradictory in every way possible.

Any squad leader who actually leads a squad would remove no mics, but then they'll join back, get kicked, join back - and I know what you are thinking now - there's rule for that, but let me tell you something - I've never seen anyone being kicked for that, even after being reported, the rule simply doesn't work or admins are not making it. What happens next is no mics joining different squads, most likely a freekit, but I know what you are thinking now - there's a rule for that. Yet, how often do you kick whole freekit squads? Not so often(and even if, joining back isn't a problem whereas a ban, even a temp one feels too harsh), I've seen many instances of this kind of squad just being disbanded and people from it joining back to actually led squads. where they freekit there, or get kicked to do their thing somewhere else or make new unnoticed freekit squad few minutes later. We've made a full circle xD

However, the comparisson to "certain countries" and high ping is completely missed tbh. as nobody ever suggested that here.

How often do you play when your family is sleeping? If you are in the same room, talking isn't the only problem. Light from the monitor, noise from fans, keyboard, clicking, loudspeakers(headphones even), creaking chair, so if said exemplary person wants his family to have a good night, he should simply go asleep too. If he's in different room, then whispering is totally ok. But allowing known player under admin discretion to be quiet if he informs that he cannot talk temporarily should also be ok.

Name one person that is so sick, that he can't talk or even whisper in PR and make an exception under administration discretion for him if you want to be nice.

You want to be kind to people, as some individuals can be of value, which is fair - but the whole thing is about majority of no mics whose are not.

While I can argue all those points, I'm not going to. The world doesn't revolve around a select few "idealistic" players.

Agree to disagree? You have all the time in the world to come up with a sufficient answer that is representative of your community's point of view? What kind of impression do you think it gives the rest of the community when you cannot even argue from valid criticism?

Do you realise that you are custodians of what is the only server left in this mod that is populated almost 24/7 ( No server is even that populated anymore which makes it even that more important ) and not having you live up to that responsibility is really unfortunate to see.

I enjoy playing on HOG but there is room for a lot of improvement and if you would like to enjoy this mod to its fullest potential in its final years, please be open for dialogue and criticism.
