Agree with some sort of smoke arrangement. Players can move freely in the Higgins and throw smoke right before hitting the beach and the doors opening. That just requires a bit of team coordination.
Don't agree with smoke launchers from the boat themselves though, that is kind of silly regardless of balancing parameters.
Tracers on the MGs (both Allied and Wehrmacht) and bullet ballistics (on all weapons preferably) would be great.

Mmh, maybe when the US secure their breach the boats would spawn faster/closer?

Don't think boats are really a problem. There were boats enough to get to the beaches, most of them only a driver and gunner, sometimes passengers (this was the safest way with all the PAKs

).
The amount of PAKs will be reduced, so more boats will reach the shore, meaning more soldiers will storm the beaches and things will get more crowded - and exciting.

Not sure how that'll play out. While I understand the map/vehicles are not historically accurate.
For the most part DD tanks in Normandy's opening invasion for the Americans were sunk or destroyed (the handful that barely made it on the beach that is). The ones that did land were well off course and didn't even see battle.
It will change the potential direction the map is trying to achieve I believe. Even as the Allied team I wouldn't want Allied tanks on that map. Takes away the tension.

i wouldnt put any effort into making a Sherman for this. not only like somebody said above, they weren't there for the most part. but they were horrendously inadequate. The Sherman was to the tiger what the MTLB is to an Abrams in PR.
Dont talk tanks, until things work smoothly.
