Also, Eve of Destruction, the once-popular Vietnam mod for BF1942 (and BFV/2 to some extent), had most of these songs in-game. Seems as if PR:V is its spiritual successor anyways.

I think because of draft and the general attitude of many persons in that era the war wasn't very popular so it makes sense they listened to anti-war songs.

EA included a music soundtrack CD when you pre-ordered Battlefield Vietnam. I actually have it somewhere.
You could play any of the songs from the soundtrack in game when in a vehicle. It was pretty epic. (Sits and ponders why DICE quit innovating...)
