It was done on purpose. And if you dont know why then honestly you shouldn't be testing this.

To deviation makes the PR game play. I cant make the test time but i hope the testers dont turn it into a point n shoot like FH2 or CoD.

Excuse me? Can i please ask you to take an AK47 (in the real world), lay down on the ground as fast as possible and try to hit a human size target 5 meters away in full auto - all 30 bullets would most likely hit the target. When you take a weapon in your hand and try to recreate the situation you will see what i'm talking about.

The most ballanced deviation was in 0.75, as 0.5 had no deviation at all.

In PR 0.97, if you lay down on the ground as fast as possible, trying to hit a target on a firing range not five but TWO meters away from you the bullets go everywhere. That kind of accuracy in the REAL world would be physically impossible unless you are waving your weapon around like you are doing Capoeira while firing.

Tell me one RL soldier who hit the floor 5m in front a enemy.
Nobody would do that in reality.

There we go again..
People should stop exaggerating so much.
In PR 0.97, it IS possible to pronedive 5m infront of a mansized target AND hit that target on fullauto.

But i would love to see a guy trying to do that in reallife

Exactly, but they are doing it in PR , i see people doing it in front of me , firing like crazy leaving me wonder how the hell did i not get hit, eventually killing them.

Hit once on full auto maybe which is still not deadly, but still, i dont think i was adressing to shooting an actual person, but shooting on a firing range, thats what i had in mind when i said that above at least...

No.. 30 bullets on target, from 5m. (just started PR and tried).

Thats how it should be, they get punished for doing something extremely stupid, both IRL and in game.

Also, try to prone dive like in PR with all your equipment and with with your gun drawn, see how long it will take you to stay steady on that trigger again. Don't assume IRL you can hold the gun perfectly still like they do in PR, that is a physical impossibility. I agree that the maximum deviation is fairly exaggerated but so are your little stories of how you can't hit shit on full auto.

Anyone who fails to hit in PR something at less than 100m full auto without waiting, or failing to kill a 25m distant target when proning should get his hand and feet tied together and thrown in the nearest rivers. Just saying. I'm deeply sick of bullcrap stories complaining about things just because said person can't handle it.

hm, depends on what you ask the testers and how you use the results in to what settings is the best.

Im not bashing the changes, simply explaining why the prone deviation is in PR.

[quote="milosv123344""]Excuse me? Do you know what prone diving is? In real life to go onto the ground quickly you would need to put one hand on the ground and lay yourself down carefully, this can not be done while holding a rifle with the sights up in front of you. Sadly this animation can not be done in BF2 from the first person view.

If you were to get on the ground as you do in PR with the sight up you would probably, knock the wind out of you, probably crack a rib, maybe even hit your head on the ground or the stock of your gun and knock yourself out. No soldier goes into a room and sees an enemy and throw his legs out behind him and start spraying full auto. So its shouldn't be in PR either.

Talked about the first few seconds mate , like, how much time it would take you to be able to go prone, aim and shoot at a target and be 100% sure you will hit it.

I apologize for going a little bit too far with full auto and 30 rounds. I was more talking about the first few seconds , the time it takes you to lay down and start aiming and hitting something (lets say singles shot) in RL It would take about 3-5 seconds, as retarded as it sounds i tried it on the open firing range and i am not even a trained soldier like those guys. Soldiers can also get down fast without worrying about being injured because they have a lot of stuff on them, like those little things (dont know the english word for it) that you put on your knees and elbows to prevent injuries when falling from a bike or something.

Prone deviation should be there since animation is not possible, but it shouldn't last more than 3 seconds to be able to shoot and hit a target up to 50 meters down range.
