I am the PRBF2 Event coordinator. And most clans in PR are affiliated with PRTA. Not all. The website is not PRTA. What do you want me to do? Roll over and die?
Hepp,

Please don't take it personal Wicca, i appreciate some of the PRTA stuff...

It just brings back some memories...

Sperate homepage to sign up... I can understand that at least...

But preset Commanders that will preplan everything and give orders to the SLs?

That can go wrong, im not saying it does, but it can. And it did in the past.

But fck my critism, i really like that somethings done in the community. So constructive:

I'd prefer having all the SLs having a half hour FAST briefing... That handles just the basic stuff. Good SLs will do the rest. Overplanning never works, its war.

And commanders simply give Intel, lead the communication to the mortar squad etc.

Given the level of coordination going INTO this event, you are probably not in for your typical public server CO experience.

Also, given the commanders involved. ;)

Before NA folks panic, I'll be writing a short film score the week before, so don't expect a massively strict pre-game. My main goal will be getting everyone organized. Battle plans happen on the fly anyway.

So I get my PC back online in time for this event. get excited about playing. Battle is on my birthday, I'll be in no state to walk nevermind play :/ You guys are such cruel teases.

There best be a round 2

Also go EU.

I'm just gonna agree with Curry and feel depressed, you're so wrong like oh ma gawd wrong.

Anyway to be more specific and spare myself from the wrath of forum admins.

Preset Commanders has always existed in organized events, Following by - them giving orders and telling Platoon Leaders and Squad Leaders what to do is part of organizing and pre-battle planing. And for so long as far as I can remember in all events and tournaments I participated there was always a CO and always a person who tells what to do and how to do. And then there was this you know "Respect Chain of Command" and CO in PR is not there to tell Mortars where to fire or keep up the intel marking on the map - He is so much more. He's the one who needs to be quick thinking and creative if something goes out the window (And we all know, "When first bullet pass your head, all that battle planning and plans goes right out the window"). All in All, there will always be Commanders and experienced ones, those who do not like it or generally don't like to listen to anyone, go back to public gaming - This is a event and no one forcing you to do anything you don't want to.

Regarding if something will go wrong between Commanders and PL/SL's is pretty common, but as experienced Commanders and Leaders we do tend to come to a mutual understanding and improvising for the best of us all - Due to we're not playing for ourself. CO plays for the team, in result representing the team. PL/SL plays for his squad members and therefor there to lead them and represent them. If something goes wrong (as you said it yourself, it has gone wrong before and might go wrong this time too) I'm sure we can sort it out.
I'd prefer having all the SLs having a half hour FAST briefing... That handles just the basic stuff. Good SLs will do the rest. Overplanning never works, its war.
This is a option yes, not saying it hasn't worked but I will do say it is not the effective way. And if you personally prefer that, please do recommend it to your Continental team.

All in all criticism is always appreciated but keep it out of the personal view and less abusive language.

First off, im not a public. I've seen lots of events and clanwars.

But the thing is that some of the organised stuff was way worse then some public rounds.

But it comes down to this:

If the commander is good, and so are the SLs, its gonna be perfect. Nothing to worry... ;)

We'll be in anyways.

Oh I'm sure if you asked several (ok most) TG players they'd attest to my many drunken gaming sessions. Just understand that I'll be to drunk to walk over and turn my PC on nevermind actually make it to opening PR, least play :p

Just make sure there's a round 2 Wicca!

Maybe you want to include a "no firebases/mortars inside the friendly dod", if you take a "no mortars shooting in the enemy dod" rule.
