Then you make a separate model, with most of the outside mesh removed (if it cant be seen from outside), and all the tris you saved by this then can be put into the inside model, to increase its beauty :D

For this particular vehicle i would suggest making one 1st person model for the driver and whoever else will be on ther deck (1p LOD0), and one for the guys that will be in the troop compartment (1p LOD1).

Just a little test with symmetry modifier. Seems legit so far.

EDIT: some optimation next and finishing the bottom of the boat completely. Then the jet engines and interior of transport shell. Btw, i couldn`t find picture of jets engines so i think that i have to just take those from somewhere else. Any ideas?

if you are using a symetry modifier you need to weld the polys to the symetry axis later on, they are wasted polys mostlikely

There is option that allows you to weld the mirror side on the original model.

Very slow progress. > :P Picture taken again with the symmetry tool and its not welded coz i just wanted to see "whole boat". As you can see, there is no interior yet. My main problem is the engines right now. Jurmo uses 2x Rolls Royce FF 375 waterjets and i dont have a clue how those things are in there. :? ??:

Thanks! This model is on freeze for now. Due my computer crash i lost allmost everything from my hard drive so it was pain to start all over again. The priority of Jurmo is not so high at the moment so im working on another models for FDF. :)

That's a real shame that happened, but I fully understand there are far more important models to work on than this one. Hopefully someday we will see it included. :)
