All here so onto assembly.
That asus GTX970 strix is huge I had to get out the dremel to chop up my old Antec Sonata case and even after that it's tight.
i had a hardware fault and would not post, as the 212 evos fan speed was below the 600rpm dead fan alert in BIOS once I had changed this limit down to 200 it was fine.
I was unimpressed by the hyper 212 evo's way it can rotate a little once fixed i removed to double check and after googling its normal....
I had to disable the graphic driver for the GPU on CPU die (2500k) in order to get the basic graphics through the 970 to let me install the driver and set it up.
Impressed by my first Asus mobo, the bios interface, the LED check system the nice looking realtek customized UI. I would get another. I wouldn't get another 212 evo though.
Not as amazed by the SSD as i expected to be ... yet. Enjoying USB 3 though!
So far I have only played a few PR rounds but on all high at 100fps ish. Doesn't look much nicer than before really. This system is really for squad anyway.
heres my user benchmark with an external HD connected, and a high CPU load?
UserBenchmarks: Desktop 70%, Gaming 76%, Workstation 43%
CPU: 71.4% Intel Core i5-2500K
GPU: 80.5% Nvidia GTX 970
SSD: 83.4% Samsung 850 Evo 250GB
HDD: 99.7% Toshiba DT01ACA050 500GB
USB: 37.6% ST1000LM 024 HN-M101M 1TB
