error 1322 error verifying

I am also having an issue.

My game was working perfectly. I did not play for a couple months.

Last night, I logged in under my primary name. It worked fine. I exited.
Then I logged into my alternate account to check mumble. Got 1322 error.
Then I tried logging into my primary account. Got 1322 error.
I followed the error directions of removing "read only" settings from the profile folders.
Tried logging in both accounts. Got 1322 error.
I noticed that the Profile folders defaults back to "read only" no matter what I do.

Deleted accounts. Retrieved accounts.
Tried signing in. Got 1322 error.

Uninstalled.
Re-installed.
Made sure all PR files/profiles were removed.

Logged into my primary account. no problem.
Tried logging into my alternate account. 1322 error.
Then I tried logging into my primary account. 1322 error.

Today, I made my alternate account, my primary account. Tried signing in. Got 1322 error.
Then, I tried logging into my new alternate account.... No problem.

It appears I can log into a specific screen name account. But why can't I log into the other account?

I am running this game as administrator. Have never had this problem before and my computer specs have not changed in 3 years.....other than win7 updates and PR updates

any help would be appreciated.

double check that you have the same # of files compared to the working vs non working. if missing, copy from working to non

copy and paste files from the account THAT IS WORKING to the ones that ARE NOT WORKING

Ok. I tried that. No joy.
The "haptic.con" file is the only file that is contained in one profile and not the other.

I did uninstall. Went through my harddrive and removed all PR files. I disabled my AV and Re-installed.

Only retrieved my secondary account. Then I had to update the game. When I tried to login - I WAS ABLE to log into my secondary account.

I went into the settings changed them to my normal game/mumble settings. I WAS ABLE to login into my secondary account and go into game.

THEN....
I went in and retrieved my primary account name. I went in and again changed my settings to match my secondary account.

When I tried to log into my primary account : Error 1322.
When I tried to login into my secondary account (which I had just logged in to) : Error 1322

Are you guys able to re-create this error?

I'm using win7 and non of my hardware has changed in 4 years.

make a new profile, so 000x (x being the next consecutive number)

I'm confused.

1) I thought we no longer needed BF2 vanilla in order to play PR?

2) I installed BF2 on one harddrive and installed PR on another one. Could that be causing the problem?

We don't need VBF2. I don't know if having it on another drive causes problems but I would say it sounds likely.

Just uninstall VBF and see what happens.

i don't believe so, but its probably unhealthy to have 2 copies of the same game. might have registry problems with that too

I found a solution that most of the time so far works. When I right click on the PRBF2 icon the list pops up and I clicked on 'Troubleshoot compatibility" then you can test the program if it wont work click on "-> No, try again using different settings" and in the boxes try "The program requires additional permissions" or "The program opens but doesn't display correctly" then click the flashing admin permission at bottom and usually works but I have to do this mostly every time to play the game.

That is great news! That points to UAC being an issue. I'll do some research and see what is required to disable that on windows 8

Edit: Try this one, without doing the registry fix... just the regular GUI slider should do for now. See if that fixes your issue?

OK if you have this problem still, this my fix....it worked for me.

Go to the folder where the PRlaucher is located.
Open the file prlaucher (TEXT FILE), and everything that says UNABLE, delete and type ENABLE

I also have McFee, and I'm having the same problems. When I try to play PR, I get 1322 error. I've tried unchecking the read-only on Project Reality folder in Documents. However, it's always marked with a black box. I've just re-intaled PR, but not luck. Do you think it's the AV that is causing this problem?

"Yeah I've got McAfee too. How do I disable it whilst I install?"

Realised that was a stupid question and just did it. I think we can confirm AV as a source, but maybe not the only source, of error 1322: The scourge of many PR players. Having installed with McAfee Realtime Scanning disabled it ran the game perfectly. However I also ran the game with AV off, so that might have made the difference too. Can't confirm that till later. Hi, so im having the same 1322 error and i am on my fourth account try. I recently downloaded PR and have tried relentlessly to fix the issue, using this forum. Ive deleted the folder many times, and none of my files are ever read-only but it still gives me this error. Please someone help.
