What DNS server are you using and can you try to switch to google one, clear DNS cache and see if that helps?

Edit: I merged the threads as it seems to be same error.

That's just your local IP. Your router probably gives you the same IP address every time, because it recognizes your network card's MAC address. Nothing to worry about there.

Tried the Google DNS fix, same result. That was mentioned to be an XP specific fix.

I'm in no hurry to play online as don't have much of gaming PC at the mo' (just doin tests n stuff).
Either way, weird.

AKAMAI is used everywhere for everything.
Akamai is responsible for serving "between 15
and 30 percent of all web traffic"

That is from 2014, so I doubt it is related

1.4 used HTTP, now we use HTTPS and you get a SSL certificate error. The big question is why. The akamai URL is PR related, it is the CDN server it connects to.

I was using a custom theme for Windows 7 that changes some Windows related dlls, I changed them back to plain unedited Windows and that did not make any difference, don't know what else to do on my end. Isn't there some way to work around the certificate or force it to accept manually? I only have a week of free time to play PR so if you have any ideas please let me know, doesn't have to be a proper way.

You can visit the URL it tries to connect to (check Process Monitor) in your browser of choice. Download the certificate it says is invalid and then install it into your certificate store manually. I have no idea if that will work :D

a23-35-2-13-222.deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com leads nowhere,

and neither does deploy.static.akamaitechnologies.com

infact "akamaitechnologies.com" leads no where. I tried looking up its ip address and there is non, just a name.

so back to square 1.

edit: I randomly started the game and gave me a 1301 but this time pointed to a corrupt or missing dll file, reinstalled the game and it started working. if it worked also for Weegeez then it wasn't a local error but a connection error, maybe something to do with Akamai.

edit2: nevermind its back again, I give up lol.

You have a typo on the URL, real one is
https://a23-35-213-222.deploy.static.ak ... logies.com

but you are right, this is most likely an issue with the CDN/Akamai. I will contact their support.

For me that link returns:

Code: Select all

Invalid URL
The requested URL "[no URL]", is invalid.

Reference #9.b55f8c4f.1531400272.11e71250
@Void what form of hardware you got LAN or wifi dongle?

What URL?

Also the support ticket on CDN will take some time as I am not authorized to make support requests right now :( I already contacted the DEV that is in charge of it, but it might take some time. If we cant figure this out until next update, I will add option to ignore SSL errors.

This one https://a23-35-213-222.deploy.static.ak ... ogies.com/

I've loaded up another motherboard, identical OS and config - result is same.

PR was working originally on this motherboard in may 2018, then in june I switched to another motherboard (for tests) and got this error. I thought it was motherboard change. Now that I've reverted to old mobo from may error remains, so it was just a coincidence,
