Im just wondering if Archer was really one of the least played maps. Im pretty sure certain maps are less played than Archer....i guess their devs are still working on them.

Im just trying to make a meme not being serious.

Im assuming they did it because new updates tend to mess up some stuff, last patch at least so far 2 caches on Outpost were bugged out in the their location, they removed since they dont have enough people to go around checking it or trying to realize what its causing it.

But yeah those maps were probably less played, there are so many 1Ks to choose from while you have a bigger number of INS maps that kinda fill the role of Archer.

Aw, genuinely going to miss Archer. It wasn't that good but it was quite iconic and felt unique. Can't wait to try out the new one come weekend though!

Rhooks.dll, Crouch toggle and more

In previous versions of PR:BF2 we already added new features to the server side of the game that allowed us to access code normally hidden from the Python scripting interface that we use for most server programming. Thanks to that we already managed to add lots of previously thought impossible features such as the well known body dragging.

With this update we introduce a new way of doing similar things on the client side of the game. Until now we were limited to reading and editing existing game memory through the PR Launcher running in the background, but with the new rhooks.dll that we add in v1.6.6 we can now introduce custom functions directly into the PRBF2 process. In this first version we used it to implement a new crouch toggle option and we already have plans for lots more to come using this feature, so stay tuned! With the crouch toggle enabled, pressing your crouch key will keep you in the crouched position until you press the crouch key again.

This new DLL will require Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package 2015 (x86) and the Launcher will check for it to be installed before Launching the game. However, most players will already have this installed.

Really happy to see all of these QOL additions/changes of elements that were once thought to be hardcoded etc.

Another confusing one is the ability to enter driver/gunner seats without the proper kit, would be nice if you were put in the passenger seat immediately instead of getting black screen > death.

Death should no longer happen, instead you should automatically exit the vehicle after certain amount of time. Switching to or entering in first available seat would be best, but also quite a bit harder to do

Is it possible to make it dependent on where you enter the vehicle? So if you enter from ontop it puts you in the crew seats and if you enter from the back or sides you go into passenger seat?

I'm missing Archer already, whereI had one of my best SPG tckie round of all time

In the other hand it was unbalanced lately, because it was easy for bluefor to close down the only road from taliban main and kill every vehicle going through it.
