Ye that just about sums it up. Our squad was on defence that battle and while we saw a fair bit of fighting, the spearhead saw a lot more (which I hadn't seen until this vid) We were mostly mopping up and preventing a counter attack at temple, which mainly involved shouting, 'Over there!' then the whole squad unleashing everything they had loaded. Don't think I died once....
So yeah, it's basically luck of the draw. Another squad in this battle was the absolute rearguard and I don't think they even saw any enemy troops, while those in the thick of it got some mighty fine action indeed. For those thinking of joining the CATA ranks, you will be pleased to know that the rearguard squads are never the same so you won't be stuck watching an empty desert too often, and besides, for much of the campaign, NATO ensured our defences saw rather more action than we would have liked
