Hi,

I am full of praise and will soon download that.

But, one question first:

I would like to know if gameplay in PR-SP is 100% the same is in PR-MP i.e. is the damage when exiting from a moving vehicle removed? If there are any, what limitations/changes does PR-SP bring to gameplay?

Cheers,

Wuschel

Most of the aspects of MP are there yes, majority infact. Main things are great maps, different spin on old maps and something to break teh norm of multiplayer everyday.

Dont see it as a replacement to multiplayer, more as an expansion pack as it where :D

The obvious limitation is you are playing with bots not humans, so they won't necessarily do what you want, but apart from that, it's spot on :)

Why would you say that, this was worked on by the PRSP team not the DEV's ?

and this is a great addition to PR.

lol, well for your information, none of the "MP Devs" work on the "SP" side of it, the SP team is a entirely different team altogether, only Ancientman put any real work into the SP area who has anything do to with the "MP Dev" side of things. The rest of us may have done the odd bit but nothing drastic.

The News says this, "or that your away from an internet connection and want your quick fix of PR?".

Well, unplug your internet connection and try to play it, you will find out that you cant log in without an internet connection...

Is there a way to bypass the login?

Can you not create an offline account? Pretty sure the EA Create Account facility is a locally installed/hosted process, and not tied into a net connection unless you request a new online account, or attempt to retrieve one.

I'm aware that PRSP is set up for COOP as default though. The above should still apply, but I'm not a SP expert.

Hm, been playing Battlefield 2 for about 3 years now and never heard of an offline account. So if somebody know's how to do this, please post step by step how to.

EA was a bit stupid tbh, I set up the offline account when I first installed, it gave 2 options - singleplayer and multiplayer accounts, I chose singleplayer thinking I'd have a got alone to see how it all worked.

that account is called 'defaultplayer' or something, and is still on my comp even with the multiplayer accounts next to it, it functions offline.

Dunno how to make it post-installation phase though

Just home, so tried it with my LAN cable unplugged.

Upon firing up PRSP 0.8, and where it asks you to log into your account...(look to the left of the login screen for these prompts)

Manage > Create > Singleplayer

Then put in your desired username, a password, then confirm the password (and I added my location too). No need for emails etc.

Then confirm/create using the button, and you should be sorted with an offline account to use.

^Yes, the map pack needed. Otherwise you could try playing in a white level with bots all over.

Once you have installed ALL 3 FILES (core, map pack and the map patch, in that order), when running a server and selecting the map/s you want to play, you need to select the drop down menu saying "SP/COOP", and click it again for the maps to show. Took me a while to figure that one too :D

Great idea to put this on the main page, I bet a lot of people didn't know it
even existed.

P.S.
If you think it's too easy -adjust the "bots skillzz" -100 is the deadliest.
