SP crashes to desktop

I got it to work one time, but I cannot anymore.

I'm having the same problem, even with everything installed in proper order.

I am able to play PR SP without internet, but when I try joining a coop server, as soon as it is done loading the map and brings me to the kit selection, it "minimizes" and doesn't show my cursor to get it out of the tray ( even alt-tab doesn't work). I ctrl-alt-del it and then it crashes saying "PR SP has stopped working".

I am running on Windows 7 RC without compatibility mode on, but haven't had any issues due to that yet.

Graphics have not been altered since it seems that is not the solution.

I haven't tried MP yet, but I hope it doesnt give me the same dish.

*Edit: Just tried MP, same result. Patch problem?

How did PRSP work without internet? You need to logg into ur account so how is that possible?

Make sure you have done this...

1. Installed BF2 CD
2. Download & Installed BF2 1.41 Patch
3. Download & Installed BF2 1.5 Patch
4. Download & Installed PR 0.87 Core
5. Download & Installed PR 0.87 Levels
6. Download & Installed PRSP 0.87 Core
7. Download & Installed PRSP 0.87 Levels

Updated Punkbuster - PunkBuster Online Countermeasures
Updated All Drivers...
Also Lower Texture Settings Aswell (main course of CTD)

Thats the screwy part. I dont know why coop and MP dont work while SP works with only bots. I rechecked BF2 on MP and found that it worked again after I tampered with the video settings, so I did the same with PR MP and had the same ol' result. :

PB is updated for BF2, though I never had a PB error for this occurrence like in the past when I had PB errors.

*Edit: You were right about the settings, I had to put everything on low to have (1920x1200) in order to play. But that still doesnt explain the reason why SP worked for medium settings and MP didnt...

It is confusing yes but atleast you got it working
Now just mess with your settings one by one to get the best settings on game and if it crashes again just turn the one you did before it crashed down again.
