Beautiful movie, beautiful movie, sad how few maps have survived thru the years, really miss some of the old maps. Why cant we have a snow map again .

P.S. Al Bashrah... had an A-10??? was that even playable by the insurgents??
Night maps just outright didn't work. They emptied servers. Not being able to see targets beyond about 30 meters slows the game right, right down.

Many (most) maps were removed because they contained vBF2 stuff AFAIK.

Used to love raid on moysike(?) and karkand night. Someone needs to get some of the back in PRSP or convert them into updated skirmish maps :)

I'm just hoping Basrah and Jabal night will make it. Nightmaps are über awesome in PR, regardless of the issues with them.

I'm sorry Gore, but true night maps have bugs that we cannot circumvent in BF2. The latest graphics cards have huge problems with lighting. Dark maps can be done, but not true nightmaps.

They work in Bf2SF though which is a bummer

Let me describe what happens with a proper night map (i.e. NVGs etc) atm, if a light or dynamic light (e.g. an incendiary grenade or muzzleflash) comes in contact with a static (i.e. a building) the affected static turns black for the duration the light is in contact with it.

This only tends to happen in teh newer nVidia cards, this doesn't occur in BF2SF.

During filming in the night maps there were alot of buggy shades all over the buildings, especially when going up high, but simply turning of dynamic lighting fixed it.

Thanks for the replies, glad you guys liked it.
