Give a reason as to why! everyones already said that "it shouldnt be in because its unrealistic" but if you cant identify which friends are what thats pretty unrealistic too. They cancel out. Something needs to be done to allow you to tell your friends apart. Even if its not floating name tags.

Voip used in games is pretty **** anyway. I cant think of one game you can jump in a public server and everyone uses voip well.

In ut2004, hl2, hl1, splintercell 2, tribes: V and numerous other games have it but its never going to be crisp sound. just muffled grunts or large ammounts of annoying static. Can you imagine 16-20 people all using voice chat at the same time? not that you EVER get an unorganised game with more then 3 people with voip enabled.

Not even mentioning the lag itl create it would just be a pain to shout at strangers saying "who are you mr person with the m16 standing next to the barrel" "can you come next to me with the m249 and heal me im hurt a lot"....and then youl get the mandatory other 5 people saying "who me?" all at the same time".

I doubt BF2s voip is hardly going to be anything NEW and revolutionary. Orelst they would have atleast mentioned that they have some new method for efficient voip thats not a total waste of time for the average joe.

solodude23 wrote:But in BF2 Squad leaders can only talk to their Squad, and the Commander. The Commander can only talk to all Squad Leaders, the Squad members can only talk to their leader. The maximum talking at once on a line is about 8 or 9, if there is that many squads with leaders.
and if anyone ever played in a clan 8-9 isnt that bad, just gotta muted the a-holes and that be that

like solo has been saying i like the AA i just started playing it and starting to like it over call of duty, because its more realistic i really like it alot. and the 15 feet away thing works perfectly, but you have to remember that AA maps are alot smaller then bf2 maps so it should be extended a little further i think

Meh, i reckon it needs to be tested ingame before you can get a real decision yet. None of us have played a bf2 map wtih tags on yet.

well solo it would be the sound of a enemy airplane, so thats why i would shot, also in DC which i would play it didnt show the friendly or enemy in the plane just a dot. so thats why i would tk not knowing who they were
