anyways.. I don't think we can use them.. if I remember something.. the exported model for FS is a different and special file format
Not to mention the higher detail models as Delta said earlier.

that is true. It would be interesting to take a look at though.. We probably could use the base model as something. But i see no realistic implemation into PR

If we were to get permission to use them, we could possibly ask the modeler to allow us to optimize them for the bf2 engine.

You should look into it, I think on maps the C-130 would be useful for airfields and airborne assaults. It would be cool to have on maps.

And the C-130 would be used in more than just this faction, being so common for western forces.

thats true. Again it's just a matter of permission and optimization

A C-130 would be awesome to have, on maps it could be a static.

Proof of this?
If so i think my life just became so much easier..

NH-90 is 16.13 meters in length - Merlin 22.81m in length
Nh-90 5.23 m high - Merlin 6.65 m
Max speeds are both around 300 kmh
NH-90 nose potrudes more
Merlins landing gear cases are more square and potrude more than the nh-90
Exhaust is enclosed on NH-90 whereas Merlins do not
NH-90 is squared off on the lower half - Merlin is more rounded

So basically my opinion is that the differences cosmetically are relatively noticeable and it would be better to have a completely new model.

I'm inclined to agree, there was an ad a few years back of a man turning his car into a Peugeot 206, but do we want that sort of finish on the model? The cockpit could be partially recycled of course.
