Tried playing BC2 after 0.9 came out and its just SOO dam hard to play really....0.9 is just superior.
Once you get into PR, you never leave tbh.

Same here...and its a good thing yeah
Just yesterday i was surprised how happy you can be ending a round with 7 kills after 2 hours or so. In COD4 or vbf2 youd probably smash your computer with that result. Its just a whole different experience

I tried to play mw2 this weekend too. I even got a decent kdr (like 20 kills 13 deaths or something) and we won a few rounds in a row, but it felt... empty.
It was a bit like beeing in a group of zombies beating up other zombies while behaving like a zombie.
I stoped playing after 3 rounds and returned to PR and I noticed that in MW2 some of the players dont understand the gamemodes they are playing !!!
![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif)
I understand it when someone doesnt understand the concept of fireteams leading to a mistake and i understand it when someone flips that wierd MEC APC, but I dont understand how u can be to dumb to understand the concept of the gamemode headquaters in MW2. I mean come on it is a big F******* arrow on your screen -> u go there-> u cap it -> win
Its not that hard.
Therefore i have got to agree with what has been said before: PR has a great community that makes the game what it is, but I want to add that this is due to the game attracting the right kind of people

I get tired of how juvenile and immature the people sound in most action-oriented FPS out there like MW:2.
They're always like
"Yeeaahhh, owned yo' *** bi**!" or something whenever they kill you with their 1337 akimbo Glocks with silencers, and then the guy who got killed will be like
"STFU, noob. I had a good time with yo momma last night!"
Yesterday, after turning off my Xbox 360 in serious annoyance at the idiots on Modern Warfare 2, I played a round of Silent Eagle where the A-10 destroyed two Russian tanks and an APC in like 90 seconds.
Nobody boasted or insulted eachother, and one of the Russian APC crewman who was killed by the A-10 said "Nice shooting, pilot."
![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif)
The pilot thanked him, and the game continued well. And when the A-10 was eventually shot down, nobody bragged about it either, even though shooting down an A-10 in PR is certainly harder than getting a kill with akimbo Glocks in MW:2.

Its true, PR. Is awesome. And its true, its the community, i mean. Think of all the possebilities, the ways you can play the game.
There is so many possibilities, the only thing stopping you is your imagination, and your will to lead, or to be better.
PR, is like hanging out with friends, on TS, cooperating, and killing some ppl.
Its not really enjoyable to play BF2, or MW 2 etc. I mean, its all Adrenaline, cheap adrenalin.
In PR, you build up the excperience, even saying DONT DIE DUUDE! Emotional connections, respect, the sound of Artillery, It builds up a much bigger excperience, And the Adrenaline is awesome.
The filmatic moments, of dropping out of a chopper, running from cover to cover with fire and explosions in the background.
Sitting in position waiting at the enemy, or at reinforcments.
Talking with a funny dude in your truck. Its part of the excperience.
Im glad im here, and i will stay.

Since half a year I thought I lost my interest in gaming and I almost did not play games anymore, until I yesterday installed PR again. What an amazing gaming experience and great teamwork, I do not find that in any other game I know of.

I was so dis-appointed by MW2, esp. after getting so excited about seeing SDVs and SPIE extraction in the trailer. It was visually spectacular, but that's it, I didn't care for the ops or storylines all that much. I'm really excited about Medal of Honor:Redux 2010 (whatever they will call it), finally a game that will accurately depict what a modern U.S. JSOC Spec. Ops Special Mission Unit looks like. That being said, I think these types of games are a genre within a genre, and never really will compete on the level of what a PR, is intended. Project REALity + Bad Company 2 PC, I get a fuzzy feeling just thinking about the possibilities.

PR is the best thing that has come up to my life in recent times!
I can't enjoy other games as much as PR or play as long!
The other game i find comparable to pr in realism is America's Army.

Ah by the name it sounded like you were about to go onto a rant about how you "disliked" v0.9.
Haha and don't worry, I feel the same way, Project Reality has made every other "war game" feel so unrealistic, buggy, and boring. I can't stand that frag-fest style games anymore like vanilla and any other deathmatch style game.

Yeah, all other shooters fail to compare now, they are worthless in my eyes and offer nothing. PR is king.
Except maybe arma 2 and its wack load of emerging mods. But other than that nothing.

I must also agree. So much so, that this thread has compelled me to post for the first time.
Even though I have only been involved in PR for 6 months, I am hooked and all else pales in comparison. Having a wife and kids certainly reduces the gaming time, so when I get a free couple of hours, I look forward to joining a good squad in PR.
I have never had so much fun sitting still in the drivers seat on a tank or an apc, only to spot for the gunner, or move for ammo or in an emergency.
I have never felt so deeply involved in game driving an UNARMED truck so the my team mates can fortify their position.
I find some of best elements of the game are non-lethal:
Shovel - used only for 100% teamwork
Grappling Hook - only in PR does the thrower wait for all his squadmates to complete their climb before reclaiming
Dedicated Transport Helicopter Pilot - never before have I seen other players respond to calls for transport from unfamiliar teammates
Forward Outpost - a projection of power only achievable through teamwork
Some of my most memorable rounds have ended with a KDR of 0:15, but thanks to the tremenous teamwork and quality of my squad mates, I have finished the round feeling 100% fulfilled with my experience and my contribution to the team.
In addition to the above greivances, PR has also spoilt my trips to the gaming shop. I look around at the titles on sale forlornly, only to constantly compare them to PR and be disappointed. No new games for me that day.

the only game that still has any place in my heart other than PR is America's Army 1. The bullet sound effects and floating aim (as opposed to perfectly steady hands) were priceless.

Sure andy, you can start in the community modding section
Sapper28 welcome to the forums, glad you enjoy the mod! Agreed PR is one of the few games I think that has interesting non combat roles that can be hella fun and intense somehow (ie: getting everything built before the next wave of enemy, running away from getting arrested as a civ, doing supply runs past enemy blockades, etc etc)
