I wish they, were gonna give us a "beta" of it with one map to test out the lag and the gameplay and then balance and fix lag issues?

days ago i was looking at all the old maps that were put into retirement. was hard to see, because alot of really hard work was put into them.

It is nice tribute to the map makers to do this while we can.

basically any map from the orig EOD for 1942 would be amazing. such as bad moon rising and battle of hue and bridge ruin and brown water navy and charlie dont surf and closefire and eclipse and thats all I can remember but they were all amazing. I know there all small compared to the maps now but they were tons o fun.

One map wouldn't be much fun.. We would need like 5 at the minimum. In reality, I have that many now and actually, can increase it to 10, but I need to get them all running properly within PR and also update some of the older PR maps we are reusing to work with the current setup of PR.

So does that mean there could be a "beta" so we could test out the game play, lag issues, ect? I mean I wouldn't mind one map. But I'm just concerned about the lag. I mean PR.9 Lagged Crazy even with my card.

BF2 is 5 years old...if you're lagging then your computer components are really old. or you need to optimize the thing.

beta...anything with a "." before the number is a beta... right? like .1 or even PR.9!

Yeah, PR:BF2 is still technically "beta" until it reaches 1.0

PR has higher requirements than vanilla BF2.

I've got an E8600, GTS 250 and 4GB ram but still struggle to run medium settings smoothly on some PR maps.

Since PR and EOD teams are making it together, there should be Classic EOD maps like Dawn at the Rice Paddies and Hill 937, ofcourse larger versions.

a larger version of an existing map means creating a new map :-D

I'd just like an epic amount of jungle with a few clearings, some rivers and rice paddies, and then have an insurgency type game mode where the US is trying to root the enemy out, find their HQ (like a little radio set for the cache) and then move on to the next one.

That would be pretty cool.
