'[508th_PIR wrote: Grey;1756217']I suspect that most Iraqis do not refer to the events of the past decade as The Iraq war/The Second Gulf War/OIF, but that's what we call it.
No one in the western world uses the term "Viet Nam War". Also, there is nothing disrespectful about referring to an event or experience by the name of the locale where it took place.
This is a typical attitude from a person who don't know anything about Viet Nam except war.
That's what you call it but that's not the correct appellation.
The correct appellation of the Viet Nam War is not Vietnam but the Viet Nam war.
To the Project Reality devs :
Please use the correct appellation for the name of the war.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I've given plenty of examples suggesting why your request is misguided, but you are clearly not interested in any form of discourse.
Good luck to you.

Dont mean to offend you, i do know Vietnam/Viet Nam as a country and i know a lot of peoples lives there were reuined by the war. However you cannot pick fault with the name of this mod when Dice named a full game by the name Battlefield Vietnam and had no troubles with. There has also been many wars and battles named after the country that they were in so i dont really understand why this is such a biggie
Sorry if i offended you but i dont really understand how putting war at the end of the mod name is going to help anything, its PR of course its a war

There is nothing ridiculous.
I thought that Project Reality dev's will not made the same mistakes as Dice again.

It is not a mistake though? If the games were just called "Vietnam" of course that is a bit vague. However everyone who plays PR, knows its a war game (durhur) therefore its na e PR:V is appropriate

Your insistence that it is a mistake is what is ridiculous. It is not a mistake. Get over it.

It reminds me of the guy that was crying over the squad chat yesterday saying that FOB is not the correct way and we should say FO.
I play since 2007 and we always said FOB, it's easier to say and people will understand you.
Everyone know PR is about war (hurrdurr) so saying "PR:Vietnam" is saying, Project Reality : Vietnam war.
What about Project Normandy then? It's called PR:Normandy, I didn't see any French from Normandy requesting a name change, they're just happy that PR represent some fights that happened in their country.
