Well, the issue that's highlighted here is the fact that we don't have an advanced material setup on APC's/IFV's. We have a few different materials we use for their armour, so it's way better than in vBF2, but it's not as in-depth as the damage systems we have on our Tanks.

The Bradley need to hit the BTR60 with 67 granades.
(From the .con-files)

APC damage is seriusly wrong.
Can you show me how you reached those numbers?

It's way more complicated than looking at the projectile damage VS the vehicle's hitpoints. You have to take explosion damage and material multipliers into account. I would give you the real numbers myself if my computer was available.

From Global Security again,

"M2A2 / M3A2 Up to 30-mm cannon "
In that case yeah, Hunt3r is right in saying it should only be minor spall.

On Seagle there are 4 vanilla BTR-80's that spawn in A1 near the tanks, but if the only thing they can (or should be able to) really penetrate is trucks and choppers, I think that adding a few more 80-A's to the mix would balance it out.

The issue is that the 14.5mm HMGs can pretty much kill a Bradley as fast as the 30mm 2A72 can on the BMP and BTR-80A.

Someone needs to test this out if you're experiencing this. Because the 14.5 should have to take a while if it tries itself at a M2A2.

Well if the PRSP vehicles have the same armor as normal PRMP vehicles, then it should be relatively easy, no?

Good work, Neddy.

Just one thing....Are you taking into consideration how the explosion damage works? Explosion damage only damages default materials so it will work off a different multiplier. But if you tested in-game that means it works out to be the same anyway I guess.

No I wasn't. Your method gives better results. It appears that vehicles exploding near one another do large amounts of damage. I'll update the previous post.

Ok, probably best to ask MA's what they think it should be. No sources are going to state what sustained 14.5mm fire would do to vehicles that have a 14.5mm protection rating.

EDIT : Appears they were asked this very question in December 08, but never got around to answering. We were in a big release cycle back then so it was probably overshadowed by more important things. Anyway, thread purpose served, we'll look into it.
