Solution: have a squad w/ half of it patient, and half of it impatient.

XD
Guys, when a new player comes, just answer his question and go on your merry way, instead of going berserk! It's THAT simple! :D

Solution: Screw camping and roll in like a boss :D .
About the thread, I would suggest Murkey and Onil but they are already both here so....

Kit: Taliban Combat Engineer

Map and side (optional): Kokan - Taliban

Details (optional): Often found on public servers running insurgency. A player dedicated to the role of ambushing when not leading a full squad. He was quite effective on multiple rounds and that caught my attention.

Ill toss out a second nomination on Lemmy. Me and him constantly make a clustfuck of the southern half of Archer. If your below the red line, chances are... your 20ft from a landmine or arty ied.

I had a positive "lone- wolf" Moment last night on Muttrah. I did join mortar squad (as I enjoy ever thing about mortars) and asked if they needed help or recon. SQ LEAD told me to go do recon so I graped an AP kit and moved to a position about 100 m behind the front lines. I layed clays and trip flares in strategic positions and moved to an elevated place over looking lots of city and also my trap- I was able to direct fire missions and spot the shells as they hit.... but the best part was when the flanking enemy moved right into my deployed clays-HOOK- LINE- AND SINKER! BOOM! One man destoyed a whole flanking squad...

I did try to move my pos up and re-deploy clays but it was only good for more recon and one guy triped my flare and I hit him with a clay, but that was it. Needless to say we won.

Cool, I guess... Even though this is not a AAR thread and I would prefer that people wouldn't recommend themselves ;)

Player name: JohnnyTheIED

Player nationality (optional): not too sure honestly, somewhere in Europe I'd assume.

Kit: Combat Engineer / Arty IED kit

Map and side (optional): Kokan as Taliban

Details : Definitely one of the most experienced ambushers I myself have ever seen in PR. I honestly started ambushing every time I play Taliban on Kokan now because of Johnny, he has taught me so many things about ambushing and IED'ing. I think he started a guide on the forums called "The art of IED" or something like that, which is actually very well written and goes into a lot of detail.

Johnny kills everything with his beloved Taliban Arty IED kit: Logistic trucks, Humvees, CROWS, Bradley's, Blackhawks, Kiowas. You name it, he's IED'd it lol. I think I've seen him kill a Bradley with Arty IED's before when it was 50 meters or something away from his IED's lol.

Honestly though, JohnnyTheIED is the man. If you ever get the chance to play with him, do it. You can really learn a lot from him. He's a member of the ]CIA[ Clan, so you can usually find him on the ]CIA[ Kokan & Hookers server.

Since almost no-one is making recommendations here..

I suggest that who-ever usually prefers these type of roles and is looking for a bunch of guys with the same interest, either PM me or add me on Xfire

Plenty of guys already suggested here usually go pubbing together, so if you want to join in, just let me know.

I am definitely interested in squadding with these types of people, I LOVE this type of strategery, and I have yet to find a serious and patient ambush squad.

I think you just need to give this thread time... it's a little niche, but it's difficult to sort through the Player Recommendation thread to find details like this - with all of the opportunities for, and importance of, ambushing in PR, great idea.

Well, I have no problem with giving it some time but I doubt it will get much more replies/recommendations.

So as I said, if anyone wants to squad up (small squad though) just either pm me or add me on xfire.

I usually play on NwA with some guys from CATA and 3dAC. Mostly on the insurgency server.

Cool video!

Korengal is a nice map for ambushes as there are plenty of choke points and most players still don't know how to avoid them. However, I think your arty was quite visible... you got lucky that their point-man was totally blind. He checked that area twice and didn't see it.
