Hello! :> So, I originally tried to fix FastWinston's CV9030 model, but soon came to the conclusion that it'd be faster to just completely rebuild it.

Been working on this baby for the past 2-3 days pretty much nonstop.

I used FastWinston's CV model as a reference for this, (Thank you FastWinston :) , great reference to work with. Atleast half of the credits should thus be given to FastWinston). so it looks the same, but it's all rebuilt, thus eliminating a ton (if not all) the errors from the model.

This is the Norwegian version of the CV9030, i will be making the Finnish version next, and then i shall possibly take a look at the Dutch version and see if i can make it work.

Anyway, enough talking! Here's come pics. (Image heavy post, click the spoiler tags for pics).

Great job !

Glad to see some progress in the Norwegian section !
Cant find time myself between work and school to sit down and work on the models .
Closer to x-mas it's usually much easier though !

Hey Hulabi I've just been watching the "Norge i krig" (Norway at War) series and its got quite a few good refs of the CV90 in it, do you want me to post them up? Also well worth a watch for any of you Nor guys :)

Also I'm not quite sure you've got the turret quite right from what I've seen. Seems more flat on the front?

Image

Also I think you could add quite a bit more detail to it, 5k tris is pretty low for a model like this.

Looks like he went for the standard CV9030N, while I believe your photo is of the up-armoured CV9030NF1.

rgr, wouldn't it not be worth making the up-armoured version? At least its the only one I've seen in this series so far (quite a few times) and take it its at least the main version used in Afghanistan, if not also for future conflicts?

Could also make both if that would be the most realistic option?

Yea it would indeed make the most sense, at least on the Afghan maps.

You wish. I have spent an uncountable amount of hours in that vehicle. Can't wait for it to be in-game! I WANT TO TRY IT NOW!
However..
What the hell is that box to the left of the door? At all the CV90's I saw/used there was a "ladder" there.. though we actually learned that they were for holding the RFK-ammo or something.. Who is making the HUD for shooting with this lovely vehicle?

I have already talked to him about over PM, I am in the process of gathering refs, which I have found to be a bit difficult.

The model is indeed of the standard CV9030N, not the uparmoured version :) (i believe the standard version would be used in Norway and the up-armoured version in foreign conflicts because of the sheer number of them.)

The model has 9600 tri's. (5k poly)

That's the plan :) I'll start working on the up-armoured version once i get more refs from H.Sta and am done with the Finnish version.

Apparently there are 2 versions of it in service or something:

But don't worry, the Finnish version has the ladder back there, so it's not a big deal, i can change it in a minute :) (Just wanted to make the 2 versions more unique)
